I also purchased a lic Bronco emblem. It also has a hollow back which I filled with exterior grade silicone. Once dry I will shave flat to have a flat surface for the 3m tape to adhere to, I am hoping. Keep you posted once installed, still not up to temperature for tape. Working on customizing...

It would be nice to have the cover on when the roof structure is removed. Can you make a similar 2x2 or 3x3 mounting plate only for the roller support? Maybe shape a bracket from a existing bolt location. The roller than can be mounted close to the seat back for when the doors are stored on...
