Thanks, that seems to suggest some risk with changes. I pulled off tow early Feb and added modular bumper. I had been debating the bumper for some time and wasn't completely certain. The next day someone posted a comparison of the capable vs modular and that alleviated my concerns about the...
After getting bumped from 3/14 to 2/28 build date, then a 4/1 build date, my dealer said that it is actually in production now. This is my green one. The red one is still in limbo waiting on a date
My reservation number starts with 103 and I was end of the first week it opened July 2020. Still waiting on that. I ordered without a reservation weekend after Thanksgiving 2021 and got a build date, bumped twice, and told that second one is in production today about a week...
So, if I am understanding correctly, making any order modifications now is bumping them to MY22.5? Or was that related to specific to that option as it only becomes available in MY22.5?
The labor to add modules after the build is far more costly than the labor to do it on the assembly line, yet that doesn't stop it from being done. The same rational applies at the board assembly. Leave the machines idle or build what can then do it. I've seen it done myself on SMT lines...
Other than clarifying some language, I don't think a lay persons using technically incorrect terms doesn't invalidate the concern about product not being complete for what they ordered, nor does it mean their concerns about reliability is unfounded.
Yes, it won't be techs at dealers soldering...
Annoying for sure.
If they didn't steal the 2DR from customers, they likely got them from other dealers at a premium thinking they could still get money.
The question is if you have any other constraints other than the top. I know the 2DR is harder because of the MIC top, but MIC top alone...
The only way I know to lock in is actually get another loan now, personal, home equity, or whatever.
This interest rate stuff is really concerning to me and is particularly irksome was I continue to see my order of over a year and first week reservation continue to not have a build date.
This may push me over the edge to get that Ranger now despite one of my Bronco orders supposed to be built end of this month. The second one is still in never never land. I know I would take a hit but whenever that second bronco appears I could trade either that ranger or first bronco...
Made the exact same change from tow to modular bumper. Hope it helps me. Unfortunately without back door working, I can't get a status update till tomorrow from my dealer since the person who drives the system is off today.
I never even heard anything about a certificate. My dealer doesn't seem to know anything, and I haven't heard anyone mention how they saw price protection. There are so many things I have changed since my original order that I can't tell if it is already factored in or not.
First week reservation like yours still with no date. I did put in a second order end of November and got a build date on that one already, but the second has a simpler build, basic base with auto trans. Now with closing the order bank next week it will hopefully end the bleeding of people...
Good comments. Was there back in August. The guides of course know those trails and lines well. I didn't see any non-squach in our group so that was interesting you had some.
Not a fan of Area 51 and Cactus Grey....both those seem to be so common tho. Antimatter blue seems to be the most useless and might as well be black. I drove an Antimatter Blue 2-door at off-rodeo the whole time and didn't realize it wasn't black till the last hour or so.
Interesting. I would be inclined to think it is more related to the back door link getting fixed and it had been scheduled prior but just not showing till the fix. But you said you had talked to your dealer a couple weeks ago and last schedule was like three weeks ago. Maybe it got...
Wish I had that when making decision. I recently switched to modular hoping it was better against deer strikes. Now that I see this I don't know, but I do tend to think it sticking out a bit further will help reduce grill damage so will likely keep modular.
That would be awesome if it included all us with first week 2020 reservations. I expect that isn't. My late 2021 order has a production date, but my much preferred 2020 reservation is still languishing. On the positive side the backdoor link, and front door order status for the first time in...
