  1. My impressions / review of some recent Mountains2Metal products

The other use I found today is I can slide the tailgate out to get better access without opening up the top glass. I know it’s arguably no less work, but sometimes it’s nice.
  2. My impressions / review of some recent Mountains2Metal products

Personally, I think I’ll get more than enough value to justify the cost. For me, there are two main things I think I’ll use it for. The first is to use as a makeshift place to sit. I coach a summer running program, and spend a good 10-15 minutes every day in June and July sitting on the back of...
  3. My impressions / review of some recent Mountains2Metal products

It definitely doesn’t slide out as much as a 4 door model would, but it’s enough to clear the bumper and anything coming off the back of the hitch.
  4. My impressions / review of some recent Mountains2Metal products

I wanted to share a few thoughts on some @Mountains2Metal products I recently picked up. A couple of these are pretty new, and I couldn’t find much info on them beforehand, so I figured this might help anyone else considering them. Drop Down Attic (2-door) I bought this right after it was...
  5. RCI 2-door roof rack installed -- production unit #1

That’s what I’m thinking as well. I emailed RCI, and am waiting to hear back. I could see the rear part of the rack being able to physically sit there on its own, but I can’t see how it would be usable or stable.
  6. Let's see your Prinsu racks!

I’d love to hear more about the Prinsu Pro for the 2 door if anyone has one and wants to share their thoughts.
  7. RCI 2-door roof rack installed -- production unit #1

Sorry for digging up an old thread, but I’m looking for confirmation that this is actually true. I can’t find any info on RCI’s website about the 2 door rack being able to be used in a half rack configuration.
  8. Half Rack vs RucRak?

I started digging deeper into roof rack options, and I’m intrigued by the JCR one simply because it can convert from a full to a half rack. I can’t find much in terms of user reviews, though. Anyone have any experience with their rack?
  9. Form Lighting Headlights/Tail Lights: A few observations/questions

From my testing, all four stay on for high beams as well. There’s definitely something happening inside the projector that changes the beam pattern, but I’m not sure exactly what it’s doing.
  10. Half Rack vs RucRak?

The main reason I haven’t considered a full rack is I have the front top panels off as much as possible in the summer. I don’t want anything that would take away that capability.
  11. Half Rack vs RucRak?

I did think about that (and it’s still “plan c”). My wife and I do enough camping/travel on our own, though, that we are ok with investing in something we can use long term. She’s pushing more for the roof rack (which surprised me a bit). I just want to make sure that wouldn’t also require us to...
  12. Form Lighting Headlights/Tail Lights: A few observations/questions

I did hear back from Form eventually. I had to send them more info to start the warranty process, but they did confirm they made some hardware changes recently and the new version does have all four projectors on for both low and high beams. At least that’s one mystery solved.
  13. Amber Grille Light Kit for Black Diamond

That would be awesome. I’d for sure buy a kit on day 1.
  14. Half Rack vs RucRak?

This spring, I’ll be taking a road trip from Ohio to North Carolina with my wife and our niece. We’ll be staying with family, but we’re also planning a “side quest” to the coast to camp on the beach for one night. I know we’ll need something to expand the cargo capacity of my 2-door. Right now...
  15. Amber Grille Light Kit for Black Diamond

I wish @SPVPARTS would make a version of their smoked lens kit that fit the Black Diamond grille.
  16. Installing the Perimeter Alarm Plus — DIY How-To Writeup

The wire that comes with the module is a three-way cable. One end goes into the factory module, and the other goes into the cable that originally went into the factory module. Then there’s a thinner long cable that branches off to connect to the new module. If the cable that is plugged into the...
  17. Installing the Perimeter Alarm Plus — DIY How-To Writeup

Even though I managed to get the shock sensor working, it definitely wasn’t as sensitive as others described. Originally, I zip-tied it in the same orientation as the OP. Out of curiosity, I decided to go back in and see if I could find an alternative spot. While in there, I noticed that the...
  18. Installing the Perimeter Alarm Plus — DIY How-To Writeup

You should be able to trace the wire that’s plugged into the bottom of the factory module to find it. I read someone else say the dealer put theirs behind the kick panel in the footwell.
  19. Perimeter Plus shock sensor not working

I just finished installing mine, and I’m having the same issue where I can’t get the shock sensor to go off no matter what I set the sensitivity at and how hard I shake the vehicle. I feel pretty confident I installed it correctly because I’m able to remote start using my key fob (which I want...
  20. Installing the Perimeter Alarm Plus — DIY How-To Writeup

I just finished installing this on my vehicle, but I'm having an issue with the vibration/shock sensor aspect. I can't get the thing to go off no matter how hard I shake my vehicle. I've tried adjusting the sensitivity knob both directions, but nothing seems to make any difference. I've...
