There’s 10 bolts that holds the rear section.

Installed gearbox and transfer skids from ASFIR this weekend. For aluminum, they are pretty beefy (1/4”). Mated up nice to the engine skid. Now I’m protected front to back with the exception of the diff skid from nextventure. Still waiting on that.

Yet I could order one with a 2.7, HD bumper/bash plate, brush guard on a 2-door. You’d think the CG on a 2-door would more concerning than a 4-door. I think this more a sta-bar disconnect issue more so than a weight/CG issue

Another reason the BaseSquatch (2-door) is the cheat code of Broncos. Front bash, engine and fuel skids. Just missing the X-fer skid. Blows me away that an OBX w/sas doesn’t come with same skids. I think the fuel skid is a 2-door vs 4-door thing.

That’s crazy. My BaseSquatch 2-door with Mod Bumper came with front bash/engine, and fuel tank skid. The only OEM skid missing was the transfer case skid. Ordered that and a much needed gear box skid from ASFIR. (All 1/4” aluminum)

Although super nice, nextventure doesn’t use the shock bolt, only the two smaller bolts to hold it on. BroncBuster has a sturdier option (IMO) that actually uses the shock bolt and one bolt. Hit something hard, the small bolt will break and you won’t lose your skid. And they are cheaper...
