That “feature” is on the Mercedes, and is why it costs 10K to change the oil filter once it’s off warranty.
  2. Theft and Luxe touch screen - sincere question

Bring the keys upstairs nowadays. The remote fob can be triggered by a spoof box. The crooks stand outside your door, press the button on a thief tool and record the signals as the fob and car try to call to each other. They then program a new fob and drive away with your car It’s a thing...

  4. Theft and Luxe touch screen - sincere question

It used to be quite the thing before devices got so fussy. In the dark ages, when things were mechanical, yeah, car radio theft was common enough.

  6. Theft and Luxe touch screen - sincere question

Does anybody know, what has been the experience of jeep owners with ragtops and fancy touchscreens? Do thieves steal those touchscreens? Are they somehow chipped so that they’re useless to a thief? I’ve been wondering that. The last convertible in my family was decades ago and it was a pretty...
  7. Door Bags

She Who Must Be Happy isn’t going to be cool with no-door travel for a long time, so I didn’t even bother for now. I’ll just get them after market in a few years. I’m still amazed she was cool with the purchase at all. Then Badlands Luxe? I’m not going to push it - not one more bit. Cant get...
  8. đź—“ Modular Painted Top and Dual Tops Pushed to 2022 (Cloth and MIC tops only available at launch) + green color and white top confirmed

I found this in a post that came later today. Looks like the voucher is good for stuff at Off-Rodeo but I don't think attendance itself will be a freebie. Looks like upgrades are freebies.
  9. đź—“ Modular Painted Top and Dual Tops Pushed to 2022 (Cloth and MIC tops only available at launch) + green color and white top confirmed

With all these production constraints it would be one dumb ass outcome If my October rez gets built before you crazy ass rockhoppers get your bad ass tricked out ManSquatch beasts.

  11. Serramonte Ford Bronco Specialist to Answer Your Bronco and Ford Questions

Dear Serramonte - do you have insight into when other dealers will get their chance at the mannequin Broncos? Like, when can I see one anywhere in northern or central NJ, or New York north of NYC and south of Albany?
  12. Floor Liners on washout flooring?

It’s probably a good idea. I wore a hole clear through under my heel in the driver seat on my Ford floor liner in an Edge. so let the extra mats take the abuse instead of the rubber floor bonus - the first 10 pounds of grit and crap can be vacuumed out and lifted out to spray free from the...
  13. MPG Poll...yes it has come to this

the 4 door is more akin to the size of an Edge on the inside. But with big ass tires, armor plating and frickin’ laser beams. so with the turbo 6 and a decade of new tech, I’m anticipating about the same MPG as in my naturally aspirated 2012 Edge. About 20 overall. Pig in the city, fine on the Hwy.
  14. Removing sound headliner if I don’t like it?

If you have 4 door MGV then yes, that’s a likely future move. Netting on the doors isn’t going to hold a paper cup of coffee. It’s really foolish that the MGV lacks a proper backseat cup holder. and yes, I know you were just having some fun :)
  15. Removing sound headliner if I don’t like it?

I wish someone had done a quantification of how HH product compares to CK. Decibel difference, heat difference. It’s hard to ignore free but lots of self nagging doubt - is it comparable or is HH really that much better?

Anybody know for sure? - Will the hook side of Velcro stick to the Covering top liner?
  18. Removing sound headliner if I don’t like it?

Badlands MGV person here. MIC top only. Lux too, so I do have extra sound deadening in my package. My order is in. I’m in this for real. The free headliner sounds nice. The price is great. But what if I don’t like it? Too hot/cold, doesn’t do much for the sound, don’t like the look, patches...
