I just checked with the dealer at lunch today. The only active orders in the entire dealership at this moment are their two demos, which they already got, and mine (he turned the monitor for me to see it).
They're saying that it's ready and should be there in a couple weeks or so, but no...
The weird part about it is that every time I see a quote from GM, they're satisfied with it, the reasoning, and the overall concept of that product and the name.
They could've made that vehicle without wasting the name on that. Oh well, it's their decision.
It seems like they decided to go...
I agree. I've been bored with the conversation about how much can be saved at these dealers. I was not about to travel to Iowa or Alabama to "save" what would be spent in travel, coordinating, hotel, whatever. Luckily I got $500 off from a dealer 5 minutes from work...
LOL, "Goosey Night"... Who the heck ever heard of that... Ridiculous... Sounds like it could be a Canadian thing. Haha, I guess I'm thinking of the type of goose... Nevermind!
You're exactly right on this!
I started parroting what you said, and then I said to myself... "why the heck am I reiterating what he just said?"...
Then I said to myself, "delete this! Nobody wants to waste time reading what PowPow already said!"...
Then I thought, "We still have 270 pages...
Thanks! I looked and it says no recalls. I emailed the sales guy for him to check it out just in case. You'd think if they know "exactly" 553 were affected, the recall support site you posted would be accurate. But I'm not taking any chances, especially with that pesky asterisk that the legal...
There was an airbag recall due to improperly folded front airbags. I'm getting the feeling that mine, which was made within the dates in question, will be delayed yet again until they take the 2 hours to swap it out before shipping.... UGH!
Mine has been stuck for a while due to the hard top. I'm told by the dealer that it's now done though and should arrive in October, but I didn't get new email from Ford (the last one from end of September stated November).
(1) Regarding leather, how much is really leather anyway? I figure the part from the back of your knees up to the headrest (and maybe the headrest) are the only leather parts anyway. The balance is most likely some sort of "leatherette".
My Volkswagen is 11 years old with 100% leatherette...
I have to say, after driving both SAS and non-SAS, you can feel a difference as explained, meaning that the feel of the road is more muffled but more bouncy/floppy because of the larger tires.
I'm getting the 33's, but they're both great in my view. Since I'm in the northeast, won't be the same...
Shouldn't be any different in probability than any other vehicle shipped on a train. The main difference seems to be that it's posted on a forum and many people now see it.
That's awesome! I didn't get an email from Ford yet, but evidently when the dealer checked he said the system listed October instead of November!
I'm still a little sceptical though. Maybe I'll get an email next week.
