I have never heard reports of an XL Linkable whistling. The aero/resistance of the lights and heatsinks were taken into account during the design phase. Not to say they won't whistle under specific conditions, but it should not be a daily thing.
Happy Friday, amigos!
Got a little entertainment and information for you all.
Here is a quick breakdown of our current Bronco kits, available direct, but we'd be stoked if you buy from one of our awesome dealers like 4x4 Truck LEDs in this thread.
And a fun one for Friday vibes.
As...
Howdy all,
Thank you guys for the support and feedback with these kits. I know there has been some ciriticism in this and some other threads and I want to make sure you all know we saw it and have addressed each point internally.
I have been absolutely slammed with work and simply don't have...
The opening is just barely over 10" from what it looks like. It might be possible to wedge a 10" S8 back there, but it will need to be farther recessed.
Attaching a dimensional drawing in case you want to get deep on some measurements.
There shouldn't be any concerns with the mounting depth of the lights. They are mounted as far forward as we were able to justify.
I don't have output shots at the moment, but vehicles are finally being delivered to our ambassadors , so we'll be getting more media soon.
If you are looking to do any significant off-roading, yes I recommend the Sport or Pro line. The SAE series is great on road, but I would not recommend it for offroad use. The cutoff will not illuminate the outer fields of view effectively enough when compared to our off road series.
The SAE is practically the only light with a hard exemption to uService (Racer Editions as well, due to the extremely tight pattern of the LED chip used - but theoretically more acceptable). Replacing the SAE lens with any other lens will take it out of road-compliance standards, and probably...
Non an uncommon stance. We use the Weatherpack connectors due to the very common availability for those people that might need a connector on the fly. The beauty of our MoistureBlock wiring is that you can chop the connector off and put whatever connector you want on the light without worry that...
I wish I could give you a short, clean answer :)
Going to throw an immediate curveball at you..
Baja Designs typically recommends that 80% of your lighting package be below your hoodline. Anything above the hood tends to contribute to more glare from fog/dust, You will often get glare off the...
This is one that we planned to develop, and are still interested in. We unfortunately have not been able to get our hands on a model that has the bull bar. Once we do, we will almost certainly be developing this kit.
Two switches are provided with the kit. One applies to one pair of lights, the other has a splitter and controls the other two pairs. Typically the single switch is connected to the fog or SAE lights, but you can set it up in any combination.
We typically only sell lights as a package which includes the brackets and lights, sometimes with wiring as well.
The Squadron SAE is our on road-compliant light. You can find it in our SAE fog pocket kit.
As much US content as possible is used in our lights and they are all assembled in the US. We have two facilities in San Diego, one is offocie and production space, with the other being our machine shop where we machine most of the bezels, housings, etc. Circuit boards are all populated here in...
Hey everyone!
Man, this thread took off quicker than we could get in here to keep up with. Lots of great feedback and questions. I don't think I can get to all of them today, but I want to address two quick points in regard to these kits.
First, the comment on roof versus bumper applications...
Hey all,
Some of the other members in the lighting subforum noticed that we released our newsletter and new Bronco kits earlier this week.
If you want to see this first wave of Bronco kits, just follow this link. Let me know if you have any questions!
We have not listed pricing yet as we are finishing up on development and want to make sure all of the final materials are properly spec'd and priced. The prices and configurations will be very similar to our Raptor fog kits. I am not sure when we will release the pricing and pre-orders but you...
Check out our XL80s. We make "brighter" lights (more LEDS, and as such, more power draw), but the XL80 is a no frills powerhouse. A pair of those on the front of your vehicle is enough to put a smile on most people's faces.
