  1. How do you afford a Bronco

Too bad Ford isn't monitoring this forum anymore. There's an attention-getting endorsement!
  2. How do you afford a Bronco

Curious: He's really filled that 4-Door with a lot of merchandise. Must have exited the store several times with carts of loot. Did they wait for him to complete his shopping looting list before they called the cops? Just as an FYI, here's what will happen next: a cop and store security (or...

Validate your Bronco with photo, attestations, and a body-shop affidavit, and we'll award your Bronco the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.
  4. Lower Running Boards/Steps

I suppose I could show you the surgery of my chainsaw injury, but you win!
  5. Lower Running Boards/Steps

There are mechanical rock sliders with motorized steps that open and a lower step folds out. Could be your solution if you go rockcrawling and trails with serious obstacles. Of course, these are more expensive, and now you've got moving parts with an electric motor (or something) which is one...
  6. That Bronco6G life: for the new people so you won't be alarmed.

That's debatable. (Heck, I'll raise the steaks: that's arguable!)
  7. Need to replace one tire, any options?

That was my solution at 25K when I ripped a sidewall. Except I bought 5 (got a very good price on new KO2s). Put on on as a spare, drove the others down to 4/32 (at 53K), then replaced them with the 4 new KO2s I kept in my basement.
  8. That Bronco6G life: for the new people so you won't be alarmed.

Sorry, the Bronco ultra-monster truck is simply ridiculous. Just because it could be built, doesn't mean it should have been. Now, the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly--with Maricone's magnificent score, yes, a worthy addition to the list. I do have one gripe about the film: the Civil War interlude...
  9. That Bronco6G life: for the new people so you won't be alarmed.

Casablanca, at least for the incredible lines that worked their way into common usage. "Here's looking at you, kid." "We'll always have Paris." "Round up the usual suspects." "Play it, Sam!" "I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship." Fascinating trivia: the production was in...
  10. Need to replace one tire, any options?

First take the tire to another tire shop or two and see if it's really beyond repair. Maybe as a limited use spare. Promise them you'll treat it as a limited-use donut. Of course, you may not want that if you have a flat backcountry I sliced a sidewall on my 35-inch OEM Goodyears at about...
  11. Comments you received about your Bronco

Classy guy. You rarely hear loud pipes on a BMW or Triumph.
  12. Comments you received about your Bronco

If those 37s were aftermarket, well, maybe they are compensation. But not if you use them offroad. But yours are stock. A Raptor, I presume? Maybe you should say, "My Bronco was born well endowed, just like its owner." Wisecrack about Harleys: "The louder the pipes, the smaller the...
  13. Yearly repost for fun and new members

I got two decades on you, plus a little. In 2022, I turned 75. About the same time, 1) the kids were all grown, 2) the minivan called for more repairs than it was worth, and 3) a dealer sent me a video text of a Badlands 4-Door Sas, carbonized gray, Lux. And I go wheeling, sometimes in pretty...
  14. New Member - Looking for a Crew in Alberta!

You sure got the scenery, and I'm sure there are trails to get you to the best parts of it. There is a tab for clubs on this site, maybe one near you? Also, don't overlook Jeep or general 4x4 clubs, maybe on Facebook. Talk to your dealer, maybe visit a Jeep dealer. Sure, we raz them online, but...

For what it's worth, I saw a guy in an FJ Cruiser just today. Nice rig, had a snorkel, too. On his door he had a Cambodian 4x4 Club decal (Cambodian characters, but "4x4" in Arabic numerals, about 20 inches wide (he looked Cambodian), and all sorts of association and trail decals on his rear...

Could fill a model gap, seeing as they're discontinuing the Escape--if I heard that right.
  17. Comments you received about your Bronco

Thanks. My children were all grown, and the minivan was on its last legs. About the time I turned 75, in 2022, I got a video text from a dealer about this Badlands as a cancellation, so I grabbed it--at a markup I'm embarrassed to disclose. But you're only 75 once! And I do what I consider...
  18. Comments you received about your Bronco

"How do you like your Bronco" is a polite opening. Maybe they want to talk about it some, maybe it's just an indirect compliment. Fine. I may bring some images up on my phone it they're really interested. But the best compliment I ever got was--exact quote--"That's the most beautiful Bronco...

I am over there. You might have noted I said it's something of a fanzine + a chatroom, but they're good folks. More than a few times I've referred people here--for tech, installs, and especially to buy + sell gear and parts. Never had a problem with the admins objecting to that. Their vendors...
