good question...don't have a great answer, other than that is my experience. Women seem to really prefer vinyl/leather seats, and a big nav screen. When the Ford sales rep concurred why it was packaged like this, I figured there must be more than my wife that have that preference.

Checking to see if anyone knows if there are or will be aftermarket options to replace the 8" screen with a 12" screen. I am selecting a car for my wife, and know the two things she would really want are vinyl seats and the 12" screen. But Ford set up the options packages where you can't get...

One thing you can't get at $45k is a 4 door with vinyl seats and a 12" nav screen. Ford made it impossible to get both of these options without the Badlands and High Package. That with the 2. 7 and hardtop will be $51k+.

Not sure what trim yet, but am pretty put off by how Ford grouped options and made some available for only some trims. This would be my wife's car, so I know she would want the vinyl seats and the 12" screen. So I went to price all the trims in 4D and to keep it simple, only chose the 2.7L and...

I found out that there is not even an upgrade option past the cloth seats when I went to price out a Base trim model. Is the only way to get the vinyl or leather option is by choosing the BD Trim at a minimum? that's a $5k adder, though of course that difference includes other things.
