The plastic bash plates included on base, bb and obx with the mod bumper optioned are all new plastic moldings and completely different than the base plastic bumper/plastic skids. They’re not interchangeable

Just got this in the mail. My basemansquatch w/ mod bumper came with plastic bash plates instead of steel but I already knew to look for this and caught it at the dealer in January thanks to this forum. Nice of them to address it for the clueless people though!

Update: this fluid makes it go from shifting like a plastic knife through butter to a cold metal knife. Solid improvement, too warm out to get any noise so we’ll see about that. Definitely smoother and quieter and better shifting I’m happy. I recommend someone in a cold climate to try it and see...
