Thanks for sharing your thoughts coryfg. Based on your comments it sounds like the on board bags would be fine setting on concrete lutiple times without wearing out? That's my concern is that without the extra padding the bottom of the on board bags will wear out more quickly.
I think they serve 2 different purposes:
Garage bags heavier and more padded to protect the doors when set on concrete floor
On-board bags are lighter weight taking up less room so doors will nest together in the back. No extra padding needed since they are not intended to be set on concrete...

I am going to buy bags but not sure which ones would be better. I don't think I will ever store on board but you never know, especially if someone makes an after market harness. Another advantage of the onboard bags would be taking up less room taking them on...
