I'm not comfortable lifting the top with the middle panel attached. The only thing connecting it to the rear panel is the 1 latch. That's my opinion but I have a DIY lift because I didn't want to spend that much on a lift, and I kinda like making my own stuff...

Under what module do you see "tow mode" in Forscan?

I have a 24 Obx sas and opted not to get the tow package from Ford. I have installed an aftermarket bumper and I was installing it I saw the wiring harness for the plug. I was gifted a tow module from an awesome member of this group and took apart the back panel and mounted it and plugged it in...

I saw a thread in here where the guy mounted the hoist in his attic and ran the cable through a hole in the ceiling...saved a lot of room. He had shot ceilings also

I really love the frame made of struts. I want to make one like that for my hoist. Is there any way you can post the dimensions and more detailed pics? I saved a few pics you had posted in my thread about lifts. I want to build one like yours please. It looks perfect

It seem the the 1 latch that locks the middle to the back is the only thing supporting it. I saw that hoist but I dint want to spend that much and I love making my own stuff. I love your bracket thing you made with the struts. I am in the process of making one like yours...nice job

I'm an engineer for the railroad and hearing a train horn is the last thing I want to hear when I'm not at work. I have to blow the horn for about 178 crossings...sucks

I have actually thought about that. I didn't want to damage the moulding but I suppose moulding is cheaper than a new top. I don't leave it suspended in the air. As soon as it's lifted off the Bronco, I lover it to the ground on 2x4's. I have also used a couple ratchet straps and a safety...

I'm sure it would. I saw a website link on another post that makes custom straps that you could get something like that with a d-ring on the other end made to any length you wanted. I just didn't want to spend $50 on straps.

The mounts slide into the slots about 1.5 inches. The slots closest to rear rear is the balance point. It's stay pretty level and I believe they are more that strong enough.

Great pic...I live in South Texas and just got my 24 OBX last month(ordered it in October 23) but I've had quite a few topless and doorless days due to the great weather.

Those bolts look like they stick out quite a bit. I'd be worried that they would hit a rock while off-road and snap the heads off. Then you would be in a pickle tring to get it out. Do they make them flush mount? My rings are out getting powder coated right now and I would love to get better...
