  1. SWR for the Midland MXTA13 Antenna

Well, I got the non ground plane stubby antenna and it gave an SWR of 2.8. Not good. I called Rugged Radios and guy was super helpful and sent me a new one and even measured the SWR of it before sending it. He measured 1.6. I got it and installed it and got 2.6. So I went back to my quarter wave...
  2. Hitch extender installed - allows opening tailgate with a bike rack on

I got a bike rack and even when it is laid down it sticks up enough to block the tail gate from opening. I got a dual hitch extender from HF and used it upside down to lower the rack. The amount it lowers it is the same amount as the rise on the rack so now the tail gate clears. It also extends...
  3. Bronco battery confusion

One more data point: I have a 2023 2 door heritage, no Aux switches, so I have the 760 amp battery. I bought it new in Jan 24 so I have had it about 18 months. It has 8833 miles and is always garaged - I'm retired. Started getting the battery error messages. Then I got a check brake system...
  4. Help! I broke a clip holding my AC/Heater and looking for OEM clips! Would like exact replacement if possible.

For those of you that got both the amazon ones and the ford ones, how do they compare? Ford wants $8 for 4 clips. I have feeling I'm going to go through a lot of these. Broke two just opening the fuse door.
  5. SWR for the Midland MXTA13 Antenna

Will do. It is the Rugged Radios Stealth UHF, Non-Ground Plane. I should have it by Wednesday.
  6. SWR for the Midland MXTA13 Antenna

I think that is a better antenna than I have. I ordered one that is similar.
  7. SWR for the Midland MXTA13 Antenna

    That is a great location.
  8. SWR for the Midland MXTA13 Antenna

Thanks for the input. The antenna I ordered is similar to the ghost antenna only it is non ground plane. I plan to mount it in the driver ditch light location.
  9. SWR for the Midland MXTA13 Antenna

Update: I tried many different location in and out of the Bronco looking for a spot the antenna likes. I tried hood, winch plate, many horizontal bolt heads, all around and finally found this spot (see pic). On the tail gate hinge the SWR measures 1.8. Everywhere else it was 2.5 or worse. I am...
  10. SWR for the Midland MXTA13 Antenna

I have the Astatic PCD7. Hope it isn't the meter...
  11. SWR for the Midland MXTA13 Antenna

I'm just afraid I'll only get good performance side to side and not front to back which is where the other vehicles typically are in offroading.
  12. SWR for the Midland MXTA13 Antenna

I bought the Midland MXT275 GMRS radio and it comes with the MXTA13 antenna which needs a ground plane. I thought I would just mount it on the ditch light bracket with a small plate (see first picture). The problem is I checked the SWR and it was over 3. So as an experiment I tried a larger...
  13. Front Plate drilled into painted trim piece…

Mine was drilled. Added a winch. Walah, can’t even see them.
  14. Warn Winch price drop on Ford accessories store site!

Ok, thanks. I’ll just do the mod bumper programming first and then load the winch program. I think the modular and capable are similar as far as the RCM is concerned
  15. New, updated welcome screen?

So you would advise against this one? https://a.co/d/7s6frAH That is what I was looking at
  16. Fording depth fender mark on fenders?

I had the skid plate off so I ran a tape measure up the alternator. Looks like about 23-24" before water reaches it on the 2.7l.
  17. New, updated welcome screen?

Thanks. When you say "internet connected" I am assuming wifi is fine. I don't have internet hardwired in the garage.
  18. Bilstein 6100 Installed on 2DR Badlands Sasquatch

Just installed the winch pkg. Lost about 1/2" of lift. What did you end up doing to get back to stock height?
  19. Warn Winch price drop on Ford accessories store site!

So I mounted the FP winch on my capable bumper. Are you saying FDRS won't let me update the RCM if it knows I have the capable bumper?
