So I finally got the trunk enclosure installed yesterday. Got the the very last step and guess what the studs that the gas struts attach to on the molle panels aren’t there 🤦♂️ so everything is in I just can’t install the struts. Not sure why I have such bad luck lol. I emailed...
I installed the $50 ford ones in the back. I probably wouldnt have if I knew the front ones required me to drill into the fender flare. So I just need another solution for the front ones. I saw that the weather tech ones done require drilling into the flare. But it said nothing was available...
I did watch it many times lol I got it to work better with the longer screws. It allowed more play in the metal for it to catch before it tightened down. Felt like with the original there was not much extra screw thread to put into the original spots. It’s an m6 screw if anyone is looking to get...
If anyone is wondering about mud flaps. I bought the ford $50 ones. I installed the back ones. The front ones I had the intention of cutting a hole in due to my step bar. However they also require you to drill into your flare, which in my case is painted. So I’m looking elsewhere for the front...
Omg I finally got it. I did go get longer bolts. My man I was so worried it was going to strip it still. I hope I never have to take that bolt out. Lol
I am just afraid to jam it in to get it to thread and have it strip it completely. Maybe I’ll go to lowes and see if I can find a longer bolt. I did see how that barely look like they will go in. But maybe a longer bolt will help me see what’s going on
Has anyone tried installing the IAG bars for the soft top? I just tried installing it and neither side bracket fits. The holes are just barely off. But enough that I almost stripped the holes where the screws go into the soft top support 😣 thankfully I got the oem bolt back in. But I am...
So the dealer I got it from in Dallas ( about a 4 hour drive) had a trunk kit and they took out the brackets and are mailing them and are paying for me to mail back my faulty ones. Not too bad. I was worried I would be out the entire cost Sind I bought it 3 months ago
So I got quoted $1550 for paint protection film on the whole front end of the car- hood, grill, bumper, fenders, flares, mirror caps. Is this a good deal?
So another thing to check if you are taking deliver is for paint damage on the roll bar or in my case under it. I only noticed it because I was in the trunk looking up. You would probably see this if you took the top off or folded it back completely. Now trying to get this fixed as a factory...
