  1. Exclusive 6+ Minutes of Bronco Badlands Rock Crawling Action on Rubicon Trail

Rules of Crawling 1) Have a good spotter 2) Listen to your spotter 3) No seriously, listen to your friggin' spotter!
  2. Exclusive 6+ Minutes of Bronco Badlands Rock Crawling Action on Rubicon Trail

No sir. You are not. And this is a little concerning to me. Was the sway still engaged??? Not trying to start a flame war, but I expected a little more movement in the front end. Granted, the 2 door vid looked like it had a little more articulation.
  3. BIG TIRES SUCK! And Here's Why :-)

I do not disagree my friend. After a difficult rated trail weekend before last and the JKUR not breaking a sweat, it is a little difficult to give up that articulation when I can run bump stop to bump stop and lock to lock without rubbing and the 35s stuffed all the way in the stock fenders...
  4. Winter Tires for 2021 Bronco

Ice don't care about no stinkin' lockers. :) Seriously though, in snow and especially icy conditions, tire choice is worth doing our homework. Stopping is just as important as going and a good ice rated tire makes a big difference.
  5. BIG TIRES SUCK! And Here's Why :-)

All good points, unless you actually traverse rocky trails. You can't fake ground clearance. And once you air down, you have lost a significant amount of sidewall height. Then when you load a corner, you lose more. For my needs, I will be stuffing the biggest tire I can fit under it. Going...
  6. Bucking the Sasquatch Fever

Bigger tires, especially when you have to air down are a plus. I can't run the trails that I run now without running 35s and will likely be going to 37s right away to make up for the lack if articulation in the front end. I run a Superchips Traildash2 that allows me to program tires size as...
  7. Am I the only one that thinks Bronco would have competed the FJ Cruiser?

Nice. Both good looking rigs! Good to see an IFS rig killing the V. Been there with the kid thing. We had three doing regional/travel sports at the same time. We all survived. :) Hang in there! Maybe I will see you on the trail sometime.
  8. Position sensing dampers.... Why??

That is what makes it so funny... and what I thought of listening to the Bilstein guy. There is another techno babble vid out there but I couldn't find it.
  9. Am I the only one that thinks Bronco would have competed the FJ Cruiser?

Top of Wheeler Lake trail at the lake parking lot in Colorado about three weekends ago. That back on the red one was open too like he chopped it. I think he had snaps for canvas and a pvc window but I can't find any pictures. He had actually twisted a u-joint on the hardest obstacle just...
  10. Position sensing dampers.... Why??

Pretty sure this is the same guy that did the Bilstein vid... :)
  11. Must have accessories (not from Ford)?

Winch will be #1. I have handheld UHF/VHF but will probably install a Yaesu. Then I will need some kind of carrier for my Shovel/Axe/HiLift. Hopefully I can find a hinge kit similar to what I am running now for the rear swing door. I like them there out of the way and not on a roof rack that...
  12. Scott Kilmer Bronco video (time killer)

Haha, thanks for the laugh. When I got my Raptor, a friend sent me this vid. Ferd Fteenthousand
  13. What do we affectionately call the Outer Banks model with Sasquatch Package?

I am still leaning towards MallSquach... but keep 'em comin'. :)
  14. why is the swaybar disconnect said not to be on the wildtrax?

And don't get me wrong, if I lived in AZ or NM where there were long open runs I would likely get the WT as well. I am a Raptor owner and I can fully appreciate the benefits of a properly tuned suspension made to go fast over less than optimal surface conditions. It is what the Raptor...
  15. Am I the only one that thinks Bronco would have competed the FJ Cruiser?

Yeah that one was a no BS trail rig. He was running huge King remote reservoirs. You can't tell from the pic but that back was open too. The silver one was just as built but looked like his DD as well. Both were awesome rigs.
  16. Let’s talk front license plate

I have a custom molded plate for the JK. Rock molded....
  17. Am I the only one that thinks Bronco would have competed the FJ Cruiser?

We did a tough trail with two FJs with solid axle swaps a couple weekends ago. They were BA! Throw enough money at something and you can get there. :)
  18. why is the swaybar disconnect said not to be on the wildtrax?

I am not looking to dispute the previous opinions because I agree that you won't "need" the sway disconnect for less challenging trails, but I did want offer my experience. We are on the trails 2-3 weekends a month in the late spring and summer. We run anything from easy ghost town runs to...
