  1. Sasquatch Alternative?

Base, Everything else is want not need for what you described on suspension in my opinion. If your Daily has 31's, sounds like it is working for you, so why would you need more? Aside from the Rock guys (tiny minority), you don't need a locker. Tons of guys will come in and say you do, or...
  2. Speedo Recalibration

Everyone keeps saying they are sure we can, but not a single person seems to have asked their dealer. Yes you can do it on tons of cars now, but times they are a changing. Jeep just released the ability to adjust at the dealership for the JL's recently I believe. I would love to proven...
  3. Anyone make white steel wheels that look like the BD ones?

Paint them. Cost you about $12 dollars. Paint again if they get scratched. My JKU wheels have been plastidipped for about 6 years now, and only one of them has a couple spots where it got scratched. If you don't drive into curbs on a regular basis, they will hold up pretty well.
  4. Anyone prefer the smaller tire look?

I think this is one of the best Quotes I have seen on 6G. Puts it in nice perspective. My wife actually pushed I should go Sasquatch. After reading this, I asked if she would like me driving the cooler Bronco, or replace deck with new patio and cover it and get the Base. I didnt even finish...
  5. Anyone prefer the smaller tire look?

True that. I have a V6 "Got to Have it Green" mustang I got used for $15K. Put some nice wheels and staggered tires on it, and I wouldn't trade it for any of the GT's around. Hell, no place to drive fast anymore where I live anyway.
  6. Speedo Recalibration

My dealer says they do not have the capability to do speedo changes, confirmed with the Performance shop they farm things out to. I have yet to hear someone who actually talked to a dealer, have different info. I would guess, that you will need aftermarket tuner, but the performance guy, said...
  7. Too long a wait, Base Model calling me again

Though I would get new wheels on the base, I do kind of at least for a while, like the steelies on the BD. No muss no fuss kind of thing. What called me to the BD, is the idea of more rugged terrain, but the fact is, I will use it just like my JKU, some Forest service roads and the like, and...
  8. Too long a wait, Base Model calling me again

The Black Diamond order was in quite some time ago, and it is always the rig I had envisioned for my purpose. Was with my buddy yesterday as we were looking at wheels and tires for her JL sport. I started thinking one of the most fun vehicle changes, is the wheels. Now I am thinking again, I...
  9. How many "Unhappy Color Surprises" can Ford dealers expect?

Far less than you think I imagine. I think only Anitmatter, Cactus and to a lesser extent Area are radically different than real life, and as you mentioned, even those who have seen pictures or real life vehicles with those colors, do not have consensus. As much as we all obsessed with them...
  10. Rubicon Trail anyone???

Well, sounds like quite an adventure. I will be doing my initial runs in Summer, as I prefer not to wake up to snowstorm, but instead balmy 70 deg weather! The Oregon routes seem pretty varied, as opposed to the WABRD, which is kind of a linear looking route. Should be fun to explore them.
  11. Rubicon Trail anyone???

I guess if you ever talk to him, ask which ones he recommends for more scenic relaxing trip, as opposed to more challenging trail centric ones. I did look at the site, looks like the first leg maybe has a washout that is possibly impassable for normal sized vehicles.
  12. Rubicon Trail anyone???

I picked up the maps for the WABDR, and have it targeted first. Just was looking at some of the Oregon routes. Plans starting to form in this hazy brain of mine. Anyone done the Oregon routes?
  13. Who else is dealing with this?

No feelings hurt, I don't have a Sport. Known as, is not the same as what it is actually named. My point is, that its being used to imply its a lesser vehicle, instead of a different vehicle, so some folks can feel better about themselves, and make others feel as though they have something...
  14. Anybody currently driving tuner cars? Planning on keeping it when you get your Bronco?

Mustang. Selling. Looks beautiful, and I will miss it, but I am going down to one car.
  15. I miss STIG.

God I hate seeing these base pictures, they look so good! Makes me think I should have stayed Base not BD. Love the look of this rig.
  16. Food or no food your new Bronco?

Food, don't know what. Likely burger, probably drop my damn drink all over the first day. No food in my Mustang, but all my other rigs I have eaten in. My dad dropped a Large coffee in my jeep, the second day I had it. Went everywhere. I just laughed and said, well, that's out of the way.
  17. Who else is dealing with this?

Why would anyone reply its the "Baby Bronco". Its not, its the Bronco Sport. Its a nice rig, and anyone who gets one, has made a nice purchase. I mean if our ego as hopeful Bronco owners is this fragile, we got way more problems than waiting to get ours. Except for Rock crawlers, hell...
  18. Base Model off-road capability ?

Should be great for your needs. I have BD on order, and driving around today started wishing I had just stuck with the Base. Some good tires would help you, but if you use common sense and turn back when its beyond your or the Bronco's ability, you will be fine. Its not a pure rock crawler...
