Base-base all the way. I'm banking on the theory that the wife would hate driving a stick, solidifying the notion that this is "my" damn vehicle. I'll keep it till I pass on, so B.S. about higher trim providing better re-sale or trade-in value is meaningless to me.
Do we have any evidence that the "Slippery" GOAT mode in a Base will aggressively brake-lock a "wheel in the air", and let you drive out similar to a locking diff?
Jeep offers a V-6 with manual transmission standard, optional tow package and optional "anti-spin" rear differential in their least expensive Sport trim level.

Difference in ratio is about 5.4%. So, running down the road at speed....in a circumstance where the 4.46 ratio would have had the engine at 2000rpm, the 4.7 ratio will bump that up to about 2100 rpm. Probably not enough to be annoying......IMHO.
As far as I can tell, you can't add the factory towing capability to the Base. For now that is steering me away from a BaseSquatch. (and yes, I realize there will be factory accessory and/or aftermarket hitch receivers out there.......)
