I do not know about warranties on the soft tops, but my Jeep’s original top lasted from 2009 to 2018 when I started getting a leak above driver window. It was due to the seals, so could have been fixed diy cheaply. However, I wanted the Besttop super top NX, with tinted windows in twill. My...
You never knew anyone with a soft top only on a Jeep? Lot’s and lot’s of Jeep’s have been sold for decades with just soft tops, and I would imagine not many regret not having rear defrost or a rear wiper. That said, I would like hookups, as it would be better to have a working rear wiper and...
I am in Chicago and my soft top has never had an issue with ice. If covered with snow I just wait for it to melt some and slide off, so as not to scratch the plastic by brushing off...it is straight vertical, so not much snow ever stick on it. I only wash it when washing the Jeep generally...
I have to admit I am strongly also considering naming my 2.3 MT Badlands "Rick Astley"...ie., I am taking Rick Astley to the trails for a couple hours...got to get some new shoes for Rick Astley.
Since you asked, I am getting soft top only. I have had the OEM canvas top and more recently a Best Top twill on my 2 dr JK. The twill top is better at noise reduction, but the canvas was fine with me. Both were fine in winter here in Chicago as Jeep was small and heated quickly. I have...
I am with you brother...4 dr, BL, 2.3, MT, Soft top only, and very happy with the build...it was a money thing for me, and adding a mid tipped me over the line...I only wanted remote start, but with the MT, not included with Mid.
Edit...I did add Aux switches and tow pkg
I can’t tell, but did you notice any wires for a rear wiper/ defrost on this soft top...pretty sure there would not be any, but still looking for good authority on it.
unless there are after market hard tops, or Ford OEM tops that come out without wipers / defroster. There are for Jeeps...or they just sit unused. Either way, I did not want the hard tops offered, and did not want two hard tops (could have sold one, but likely for less than cost)
Thanks for providing further info and putting it in layman's terms a bit. Just trying to guage if I am on the cusp of my dealer's allocation or not, and this gives me a way to ball park.
In my case, I wanted a softop and plan on getting a hard top, maybe white or body color painted modular next year or so, and did not want to have a MIC hard top also. So I ordered the soft top now. I doubt it would have the hook ups / controls since built as soft top only, but that is cool...
Are allocations still based on 50% conversions / 25% past SUV sales and / 25% comparable off-road vehicles in area??? I went back and looked at the posts after Ford's dealer meeting, and cannot find any showing this formula changed. If still applicable, if a dealer has 1000 reservations, and...
ABSOLUTELY...I have several threads and posts flagged for follow-up once i get mine, such as Forscan, Aux. lights, Stigger placement, mods, swaps, etc. I value a lot of the experience and knowledge from many members and look forward to drilling down on issues and opportunities once those...
I personally would like to get my bronco and provide thoughts on where a good place would be. However, I understand a significant percentage may not be getting there Broncos right away. I would hold off on the poll until some get the Bronco and can take good pics of locations. If you are...
there was a thread started by Zach at Granger regarding out of state purchases. I do not have it handy, but search Zach's posts or search out of state granger
