So we've been looking at options for a winch bumper for my wife's Braptor for a long time and this build by @jclark as well as a similar one by @GTS BRONCO cemented the decision for us to go with the ADD offering.
As the OP pointed out in the first post to this thread, the two main problems to...
I finally got around to mounting the RJ45 connector. I tested it out first using a short ethernet cable I already had and it didn't work! After doing some research, I found that the MXT575 can be very fussy about the quality and shielding of this cable, so that is something to be aware of. I...
Thanks for the warning! I spent some time looking at that area yesterday and I believe if I mount it on the flat, horizontal area (so the connector is facing straight down), there will be enough clearance. The part just arrived, but my 15/16" hole saw (which may be the ONLY size I didn't already...
I guess I'm kind of late to the party, but I found this thread about a year ago and have been planning on emulating this install ever since. I started yesterday, and so far I've got everything done except the microphone stuff. I installed the radio using the M2M Under Dash Clutch Mount which I...
Oops! I was watching this thread and got a notification and thought it was a different thread where I had mentioned I will have some available soon. Anyway, you saw my message!
Actually, they are still on the Bronco! I had some health issues earlier this year that slowed me down, and was only finally able to get back into this about 2 weeks ago. I've been working on the Expedition One swingarm rear bumper (which has been one problem after another), but I'm nearing the...
I certainly would avoid using PLA on anything automotive-related - the HDT is just too low.
I've gotten great performance from Tinmorry ASA and I know they have Orange, but it might be "too orange". Likewise for Bambu ABS-GF, but ABS is poor for UV resistance if you're using this on the outside.
Thank you very much for the info. Looking at the brackets he made for the lights, I think I can probably fabricate something like that myself with some aluminum stock and an angle grinder, although I'm sure it won't be as nice as yours. The camera relocation is a whole 'nother thing! I'll try to...
For anyone who might be interested, sometime in January (or maybe late December if I get lucky!) I'll be posting takeoffs from a low-mileage 2024 Braptor to the marketplace here.
@jclark - BEAUTIFUL job on your build! Do you think your shop would be interested in producing more of the brackets for mounting the fog lights in the bumper and camera relocation?
@BodieMonster - FWIW, for over a year I have had an ARB dual compressor mounted in the DV8 box which is under a...
My wife was there in her raptor with a group of broncos about a month ago. From her report, you will have no trouble at all with hell's Revenge. Not that difficult, but pretty scary. The forward facing off-road camera (or whatever you call it) was a necessity. No one in her group was willing to...
I am sadly dealing with a windshield replacement right now. I have crack (which has grown from about 6" to 10" since it happened) starting at the top of the windshield. It goes in for repair tomorrow. The glass shop told me the Pilikington is at least one of, if not THE, OEM manufacturers for...
