To add some data here, I saw a 50* rise (peaking at 144) in charge air temp with the whipple intercooler on a recent 1/4 mile run and safeguards in the tune pulled power out to keep things safe. Stock IC would see an 80+ degree rise.
I would say it’s 100% worth waiting for the a high mount...
Just realized I've been running thing tune for over a year now. It's still the best mod I've done.
Multiple road trips to CO and NM
Daily Driving
Beach baja runs
rock crawling
0 hiccups. Thanks for the kickass tuning @ZFGracing
Still spinning all 4 37's and not missing a beat. This is...
The factory IC is hot garbage and charge temps rise very quickly. Think of an IC as something that will help with sustained, repeatable power output.
Whipple
Cobb
Wagner
CP-e
CVF
All these companies have them and all are comparable IMO.
I believe CVF is working on a high mount IC as well...
Honestly that's weird because I have 30 or 40% percent on my windshield and haven't noticed my headlights coming on in the day, just a bit earlier than usual in the evenings.
Before removing the factory PCM you have to read the stock tune via whatever tuning device you choose.
Then after the swap, you program the new PCM through FDRS, but if you order the stage 0 kit I believe you get a windows tablet in the kit that you then return after all the programming is...
Snuck into the 12.50’s in a little worse weather. This thing just doesn’t want to launch. Haven’t had a tune update in a long while and not at all since the downpipes so I sent Adam a log.
It doesn't have to be a Ford dealership. Any ASE certified tech can do it to keep warranty intact. I would look into performance shops if you can't find a dealer.
I believe Lethal Performance is down in south Florida. They are active on the forum and might have some recommendations...
I believe it doesn't automatically go away, but it should stay off after you manually turn it off. More reading on there below

Also, it's a very conservative tune. I wouldn't expect it to be night and day difference.
I would agree with your need for different octane fuels, the JB4 is more convenient for sure. ZFG has an auto octane tune for other platforms and it would be awesome if that functionality became available for the Bronco one day.
10R80 swaps have been done on explorer ST's. The details of the swap seem to be kept close to the chest for those that have done it.
This is really for biiiiig power though I mean the clutch rebuild kit below will be more than enough for the overwhelming majority...

Stock beadlock capable wheels yes, but I don't have the stock 37's. Worth a few tenths I'd imagine. The non beadlock capable would also be a few pounds lighter if I had them.
Factory 37's are 64.8lbs a piece
My Falkens are 81.8lbs a piece
