Easy Big Shoots! I saw the statement, your inference doesn’t make sense to me - plus internal Ford/dealer communications seems to bear the chip shortage out - as I implied you both could be right. Ford has a contract to buy all someone’s production and now there is a temporary interruption.

So they purchased all of them and put them in a shoe box until they need them? Or maybe they contracted to have them produced over time as them need them and something could have happened and they are not available for a period of time?

I wouldn't look for accuracy in Ford or the dealers communications - I've seen stories on here where someone hasn't got a VIN for Ford and then gets a call from their dealer the same day saying their Bronco is in.

Agreed - though I don’t believe the problem is that Ford is giving dealers a ton of information and they just aren’t communicating it.

I wonder about that two door availability of 17%. Is that adjusted to reflect the idea that two doors are only about 25% of orders, or does that mean two doors are 17% of the 25%, about 4%???? I hope not the latter.

Webasto is to open a second plant in Michigan by April. I saw that 2 door Broncos are the most constrained item at 17%. Hopefully some of that is lack of 2 door tops and will be relieved soon. That’s kind of a weird number - not sure how they calculate that because it’s not over 100% of...
