  1. Roll start in a 7MT?

I was only describing exactly what happened when I tried to push start it. I NEVER claimed it was viable and I believe I was pretty darn clear in the full text of original comment about it starting that it didn't lead to anything useful. Most of the follow up comments had to do with someone...
  2. Roll start in a 7MT?

For the 6G, yes I could believe that it may depend on battery level. ALSO when I mentioned roll starting with errors, if I didn't say, it only ran for a short bit and I wouldn't consider it drivable.
  3. Roll start in a 7MT?

All three of my Bronco IIs, all with 2.9L Electronic Fuel Injected engine and with electric fuel pumps. 88, 89 and 87 model years. I had such a dead battery on my 88 and was so poor I ended up roll starting it in reverse every day to go to work for 2 weeks till I got paid. At work it was...
  4. Roll start in a 7MT?

I've roll started mine, but only ran a few seconds with a ton of errors. Too much complicated electronics and not optimized well enough to permit starting this way which is a major shame.
  5. Roll start in a 7MT?

Yes fuel is needed, but there are plenty of manual trans vehicles that can be roll started even with dead batteries. The bit of alternator action gives enough juice to put some fuel in.
  6. Radio gone crazy

I don't know if what I am seeing is messed up screen or messed up streaming. I have encountered problem with bluetooth between my phone and car when I am trying to use my phone as audio source. When it won't play I have to open my phone music app and press play on my phone. Once I do that...
  7. How to display the boost graphic on my 2023 WT 2.7?

There are two ways to view. I can't give you specifics without going to the car and playing. One is a circular type gauge that shows it. There is a similar gauge for fuel economy. This is the one AZ Rider above mentioned by just using the arrow keys. I would be nice if a few could be...
  8. What’s your most annoying feature on the Bronco?

The climate control system with a mind of its own. Also climate control where fan speed is so sluggish. Delayed reaction dialing radio or changing volume.
  9. Tires at 50% at 12000 miles?

First problem is taking the dealers word that they are 50%. Maybe it is only 30%. 50% would infer 25K miles on a set of tires, not great but I've had factory tires wear out on new cars in 15K miles. Side wall damage is not repairable so replacement. Even with just 30% wear I would replace...
  10. There was something about that digital keypad... help me remember

I really feel these things are reverse innovation. My 2002 Explorer with conventional key and a basic remote the remote is still working 20 years later and battery has never been replaced. These key fobs don't require a key which is convenient, but I find info that says battery goes bad...
  11. There was something about that digital keypad... help me remember

The only advantage I can think of by it being wireless is that one can relocate it (or initially place it) in some other location. Some have liked the idea of mounting it inside the fuel door rather than have the tacked on look. I personally don't think the look is bad, especially a factory...
  12. Insurance cost for 6 months

I quite understand the kids problem. Four cars and three kids. Then kid got accident.... I don't think I got over $2K for 6 months but came close. The $331 seems really cheap unless coverage is limited. At least in the states I live.
  13. Fail to Start. 2021 2.3L engine. Video in thread

I'll agree with the others. It sounded like the starter was spinning but wasn't engaging the flywheel. The gear on the starter is supposed to move out and engage the flywheel while cranking so something inhibiting that unless somehow you are missing teeth on the flywheel (I doubt).
  14. Insurance cost for 6 months

For me 6 months is $575. Single vehicle, single driver, full coverage. This is for my Black Diamond with SAS. My Base is on other policy with other cars as I keep it in a different state and that one is harder to figure out.
  15. Insurance cost for 6 months

I discovered the hard way that what my policy listed as cost for a vehicle wasn't really that cost. Like you I had multiple cars, more cars that drivers, and my policy listed the cost of each. Money was tight and seeing the extra vehicle costing a significant amount, I dropped it expecting...
  16. I guess a pickup Bronco is a bad idea??

My experience with a dealer trying to sell me on a Gladiator. Cliff notes version. Walked in dealer, Mid March 2020 early days of COVID. Was not a serious buyer, told salesman, just looking at models, place was empty so we went over their offerings and what I might like. All this time we...
  17. Bronco Base vs Bronco II in the snow first impressions

This is complicated to explain, so I'll give the short answer and then follow up with the why. The simple answer is that I am not trying to simulate manually what ABS does in the snow, I take advantage of the fact without ABS I can choose to lock my wheels which in certain circumstances will...
  18. Bronco Base vs Bronco II in the snow first impressions

I finally got to take one of my Broncos out in the snow. I love to drive in the snow especially on roads when there are few other vehicles out there. So this is about on the road snow driving, not off-road snow driving. Thru the years I've owned three Bronco IIs, a 88, then 90 and...
  19. Keypad mounted inside gas door on Bronco Raptor

Not having to dig my key out of my purse nor having to manipulate my phone.
