  1. How?! Build date within a week of "Reserve" (Now Marked up) (MARK UP REMOVED!)

You're trying to apply what you think is logical to a process, rather than looking at reality. The dealer buys the vehicle from Ford. They sell it to a consumer. That consumer can be the one that placed an order with the dealer, or someone else; but if there is no agreement to purchase in place...
  2. Dealer Markups Are Getting Some Press

Well, if you don't have a contract, you have no agreement. They can't keep your money if you ask for it back without a contract and consideration on their end....but if that $1,000 isn't part of a binding contract for the vehicle...you'd be SOL if they backed out. Your only recourse would be to...
  3. Dealer Markups Are Getting Some Press

Do you have a written purchase agreement with agreed to pricing?
  4. Dealer Markups Are Getting Some Press

No. They can sell it right away. They don't need you to release it...it is theirs until you buy it form them. Not at all. They own it and are selling it. They can sell it to whom they wish...at a time they wish. The only recourse is through Ford, who will penalize them if they sell more than...
  5. California Trade my soft top for your hardtop?

They won't have both...a Ford dealer on here already detailed how they have to cut off part of the top being replaced and send it in as proof. Ford doesn't want the crap roofs out there....
  6. The (reserved) Dealer Markup Call Out Thread

Do you mean surprise dealer mark-ups on reserved and ordered vehicles? Or those sitting on the lot that are unclaimed? The second category, they would be crazy not to mark up...the former, than that would be an appropriate list of who not to order through.
  7. What do you plan to do with old tires and wheels after upgrading?

I would sell them now, as a lot of people will be looking to buy them for non-Sas Broncos, and the market isn't going to get better. Once you have a ton of people out there with take-offs for sale, they will be like Rubicon wheel/tires and they will get low prices...no way would it be worth it...
  8. [Updated With Outcome in Part 2 Video] Dealer marks up former employee's Bronco by $10k

It's more about him...he said in speaking of the dealer who screwed him: "am I going to let this ruin my 20+ year relationship with them? Absolutely not"....he's speaking of the relationship in which they just bent him over and plowed him from behind on an ordered vehicle. What possibly could...
  9. How do you plan to mount your Hi Lift jack?

Sometimes there aren’t better options. A Hi Lift can be really, really good in a lot of situations. If you are scared of them or don’t know how to use them, or don’t like them, then fine…but it is ignorant to say it can’t be a fantastic tool when you learn how to use it…and yes, it can be fine...
  10. Anyone with an updated list of constrained parts?

The only significant constraint now seems to be the hard top at 0% availability for 21s...soft tops seem to be scheduling in order at individual dealers regardless of options...
  11. Temporary fix for Bronco's wavy plastic windows

I'll be doing lot's of mods to improve aesthetics...this is just another.
  12. You are not buying today!

No, if I felt that way I would have switched dealers....
  13. Temporary fix for Bronco's wavy plastic windows

Big improvement. I just wish they had used thick windows like BesTop uses...it would improve the look big time....I don't think many would mind giving up that little tilt feature for straight good looking windows.
  14. Lifted OBX mud stuck from the jump. Black diamond says- hold my beer!

Your videos have been enjoyable...I'm not sure why the one dude claimed that stuck in the mud scene was set-up...it pretty clearly was not.
  15. Anyone ever heard this one?

Yes, that's for ordered Broncos only. I would expect them to make up some margin on Broncos that aren't picked up.
  16. Lifted OBX mud stuck from the jump. Black diamond says- hold my beer!

That's definitely a recovery strap and looks like a pretty good one....he didn't use a lot of the KE, didn't really need to, but the first pull it stretches and pulls the recovery bronco back toward the stuck vehicle...
  17. Anyone ever heard this one?

Unless you had a specific offer and you accepted, then he can do what he wants. If you haven't accepted, he can pull the offer at anytime, and it sounds like he did. Since it's not ready anyway, why not just order one through a dealer who will guarantee MSRP, or drive up to PA and pay less than...
  18. Dealer Dirty Dealings

I'd go in and look the guy in the eye who assured you that you would be paying MSRP and insist that he honor his word...push, ask to talk to the owner with that guy present. Make them know you will make things as difficult as possible for them, forums, Ford, social media....insist, insist...
  19. Ford Bronco Accessory / Parts Deal -- B6G Forum Members ONLY

@flip, thanks for setting this up....I just ordered a set of 4 of the Garage door storage bags (Even though my Bronco is probably 45 days out from arrival), and it was a good deal, especially with the reasonable shipping and no tax...Thanks!
