Dangerous? Perhaps not. Sub-optimal? Probably so. But no worse than hundreds of ”heavy duty” pickups I’ve seen pretending to be big rigs.

Factory skid plates can take a ton of abuse. Even if they look rough after abuse they still do the job. My brother had a Jeep J-10 in high school which didn’t have a single skid plate. He beat the heck out of it, including dragging the thin metal gas tank across enough rocks to cave in the...

FYI I applied Dynamat (similar product, https://www.dynamat.com/ ) to the underside of floor in another vehicle. We live in the desert southwest & sometimes even visit Phoenix in 118 degree summers. It has never come loose.

Yup. Correctly identified. I actually sold Nissans in Colorado for a very brief period. Underneath it is a Sentra, so if you need powertrain or suspension type parts they’ll probably fit.
