This is my plan as well. Running the X3s on the JKUR now in 35. Ran Wheeler Lake in the rain a couple weeks ago and my buddy with 37" Patagonias, long arm kit, piggy back Fox 2.5s was very disappointed. We had to winch him over the apex of the big V and I crawled right through it. He...
A lot of people in the Jeep community swear by Bartact. I am sure they will have a Bronco line. We have leather so I don't run covers but thought I would throw that out there if you wanted to do a little "review" research.
Dayuuuum, that is the first time I have seen that shot. That black is sexy. Just about everything we own is Black with Red accents. Maybe I will depart from the Cyber Orange and do that again....
I am fortunate to have a wife that indulges and participates in all of my 2 wheel and 4 wheel obsessions. She is my trail buddy and will get out and walk sections (and take pictures) when she is too scared to ride. She rocks!!!
I wouldn't relinquish my Raptor for the Bronco. I don't think my wife would either. Fortunately, that is not the vehicle we are replacing. Shhh, don't tell Rex (the JK). I don't want him to know until it's a done deal.
I will definitely be running a lift and 37s. Don't know if it will be the factory lift of not. To early to tell. To run the trails we run now, it will likely be necessary with the articulation I will lose going to IFS. That 2d with the Methods and 37's is basically my target. Finish it with...
Similar to my setup for our 4 door. My Raptor usually sits where the Jeep is but a spring on my big garage door exploded 2 nights ago so it's sitting outside until the new spring set gets here.
I will take some pics of it when I get home and post them up. I have a tall bay and it is high enough that I can park the nose of the Raptor under it. The Jeep was backed into the garage to remove it and the Raptor goes in nose first.
The hoist is also useful (when the top isn't attached) for...
One thing that I forgot to mention is the weight. Running the soft top on the trails in the summer makes a difference in the weight of the vehicle on the rear axle. Not that the hard top is bad, but once you add your recovery gear, a survival pack. cooler, etc. it all adds up. If we take...
I have a 4 door JKUR with a hard top. When we purchased, we also bought a BestTop Trektop Twill. I run the hard top all winter in CO and the soft top all summer when we are on the trails. The soft top is a little louder than the hard top but the twill is substantially quieter than the vinyl...
The only way I would want the FE is if it had the exact options that I wanted. My wife and I agreed many years ago that we would not buy a vehicle that we weren't going to drive/enjoy. This isn't and investment for us. It will be a trail vehicle to take us the places we want to go, just like...
That has been my thought too. We bought our Bestop NX Twill through our dealer when we purchased our JKUR. I anticipate being able to do the same thing. They will surely have a top ready before my Bronco is. :)
Thanks for sharing! I saved it off and highlighted everything on my must have and my wife's must have. Then I identified all of the options and what packages they were associate with.
