(Edit: @Chase Gentry meant to include you earlier)
Appreciate that Perspective and you sharing.
There are ton of people on the forum who seem to think that this vehicle is magical and the offrodeo will have them driving like Shannon Campbell in a day or two.
I think there is great value in...
Do you really want to waste the energy it’s going to take for both of us to argue about a stupid topic? I’ll concede that my point was a generalization and “advertising” should be replaced with “promoting a notion”. You admit you’re trying to start a fight in hopes of earning another notch in...
What’s even more odd is they advertise the interior to be almost waterproof but the manual cautions about spraying water on just about everything inside the vehicle other than the floor and vinyl seat. (I know you shouldn’t spray the dash or electric connectors. Just seems they selling a...
I'm 42 and getting a 4dr. I have always had 4 doors (with the exception of my 86 4Runner).
I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that just about every vehicle has a 4 door option these days and wasn't so much the case in the past. Hell even the suburban was a 3 door for a pretty long...
On a non bead lock, half an inch makes some difference. On a bead lock it’s more width plus clamping the bead.
If primarily a road vehicle, I probably wouldn’t screw around with it.
If 50% or more off-road, makes a big differnce.
I’m coming from a rock crawling perspective. If you only have...
A little late to the conversation. From that cutaway, it appears that the beadlock configuration will add about .5" inch to wheel width. This should allow for a wider tire to be run as well.
The aftermarket will provide. Trust the aftermarket! LOL
I may not really understand your concern. That said, I wouldn't worry about trying to get factory axle shafts right now.
Reality is, D44 axle shafts (even chromoly) aren't that hard to break rock crawling. There will be a lot of...
I get that.
If I still had my car I’d seriously consider buying a base model and LS & axle swap it. Sure as hell not doing that to a wildtrak.
Someone will be doing that soon enough.
Lol I hear ya.
I saw a bronco for the first time yesterday. The rep said he almost ran out of gas on the way to the dealership due to a guy talking his ear off for about 20 minutes while he was sitting in the parking lot trying to leave the hotel.
I cringe every time someone someone suggests...
I’d assume that since they were going to build it up they didn’t need all the “off road” stuff on the badlands. Or thats just what Ford gave them. 🤷🏼
--Will suspension mounting points be same regardless of Sasquatch? (Will the aftermarket have to have sasq specific options)?
--How much of the leather trim option is leather (not vinyl)?
--Will the adolescent color accents in the interior actually make it to production?
--When will painted...
LOL Disclaimer, I wrote this without reading everything in this chain. I guess I just basically said the same stuff you all did. Feel free to Skip it ? haha
I was hell bent on Wildtrak but don't really love the Sasquatch wheels, no crawl mode, interior, no swaybar disconnect and the...
That’s what I’ve been thinking but wanted confirmation. Just add it to the list of shit that Ford isn’t “listening” to.
Maybe the vinyl will be great but I feel they’re rolling the dice too hard on people buying these site unseen on nostalgia alone. I’m probably still in that category but I...
I’m sure this has been answered but what the hell does leather trimmed vinyl mean? Is it leather or vinyl? I’m not so excited about an additional $2k+ for some leather trim on the same vinyl seats.
Camera mics are real sensitive to those noises. They can pick up sounds you don’t even hear (or maybe notice is more appropriate).
I wouldn’t worry about it.
