There is a marked decrease in performance. I will probably put 33s on the original 16" factory wheels sooner rather than later, and switch back for daily driving.

Yes, you can remove the rear seats individually, if you wish. You could probably also remove the front and rear passenger seats at the same time, giving you enough room to build a full length sleeping platform.
