I was able to get a visit through the plant and follow it down the line. I'm still waiting on permission to post the video I put together of the experience. One of the coolest things I've ever experienced! 🤩
Definitely understand that! I've been trying to get more active on here with info I can share publicly and will continue to be while this debacle is going on.
I asked, but haven't gotten an estimate yet. I'll follow up. It sounded like they had two processes going - roofs for the main line and roofs being replaced in the MOD Center - to get Broncos out to customers. As of yesterday, they were cranking through them so they aren't out of roofs.
My...
I know they're cranking them out. They set up a roof change assembly line at the MOD Center and are moving through the 2 lots of Broncos brought over from DM. Pretty quickly, from the way it sounds.
Nope. My contact confirmed mine is back at the MOD Center, though, so we're heading in the right direction. 7/16 Blend date, was built on 7/19, released from QC 7/26, moved to Dirt Mountain 8/26.
Things seem to be moving along. Based on some of the trackers I'm seeing in threads, mine is somewhere in the middle so I'll get down there again next week.
Thanks for the great recap! I'm looking at getting registered in New Hampshire and was interested to know how you were assigned a Bronco. Do they match you with something similar to what you have on order?
Another poster for another location indicated he got quite a discount for the delays...
I was down there a couple days ago and it looked like they are creating a staging area, of sorts, to run the built Broncos through a specialized line in the MOD Center. I imagine they will be batching Broncos over and running them through as quickly as possible.
My Bronco is named Kára after a Valkyrie with the same name meaning "wild one" and with my Norse lineage and the Bronco slogan being "Born Wild" it fits. I'll be taking her to a pinstriper in Hazel Park who will add some Norse-inspired designs.
I'll also be adding some mods for off-grid road...
