if I understand correctly the housing is machined to function as a bushing the total way across instead of the stock which does not support the shaft but only has a small seal. It seems to be a similar concept to the current bronco bushing but in full CNC aluminum, I look forward to more info...
no lift is about as minimum as you can get. Lift does not create clearance. that being said lift does other things like improving brakeover, approach and departure angles.
here is mine. 37x12.5r17 mickey Thompson Baja Boss MT's which are about as true 37's as you can get. I had rubbing on...
thanks I'm loving it. Yes the max tire kit comes with a bracket that replaces the plastic block (see last photo). the suggest using push pins to hold the liner back but I found that zip ties are more secure.
The ADV fenders are supposed to be 2” up and 2”out. But I think that is off of nonSasquatch flares. So there may be a little more room but not much
great thread. I have 37x12.5r17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss MT's on stock Sasquatch wheels and suspension. The only thing I have done is the Big Tire Clearance kit. I also have AdV Fiberglass quarters all the way around. The only rubbing I have is at full stuff and full lock the sidebiters on...
I love them. They are E-load so they are a little stiffer in sidewall but still ride great. I thought the Goodyears were to soft in corners and didn’t give a solid feel. These are great. As for noise they are one of the quietest mud terrains I’ve ever run. And off road they are killer.
Why would you? The back side is open from the factory so I don’t see a problem with either corrosion or strength. If it’s for aesthetics then weld away but I don’t think it looks bad once painted.
HaHa thanks! I haven't gotten the beadlock rings yet. Ford wants a ridiculous amount for them. I have a friend who has a plasma table and we may have a go at cutting some.
I've twisted it up pretty good and no rubbing. Sunday I will be going to a trail near home and be able to put it through it's paces. I did have to zip tie the lower inner fender liner as the push pins don't seem to hold very well. I will be replacing them with the ADV Fiberglass inner liners...
That is exactly what I am saying. bone stock except for the JKS clearance kit with Mickey Thompson 37x12.50r17 which are 36.8" clear great. The only slightly rubbed before the clearance kit.
As far as the stock tires, I sold them to a friend for $1250 for all 5 tires. was a win win as it...
And Done. I love the new look. When I ordered my fenders the inner fender wells were not available and I never really worried about it. But the new fender opening is different enough that I will be getting the new front Fender well liners.
