Does anyone actually use the āScheduled remote startsā on the Ford Pass App? Why is this even an option since the (immediate) āstart optionā is right there? Sounds like an accidental carbon monoxide poisoning issue waiting to happen for those that use a garage.
From my experience with tapes, I think all tape when heated will leave a residue. Gaffers tape is great but leave a residue. The saran wrap idea posted by a member sounds like a pretty safe idea.
we have odd wind noises on the 4-dr Outer Banks hardtop. Itās not consistent but does sound like a window not all the way up and sounds like itās coming from the drivers side. There are so many odd shapes on the exterior, maybe it is normal.
Had a CJ-7 in the 80ās & 90ās. At that time, there really wasnāt anything else similar. That was when AMC still produced them. Very simple and easy to work on. Only complaints, seat frames would rust and fail, top would not stretch below 72 degrees, and eventually blown engine.
I vaguely remember when I drilled out my letters to replace with the Putco lit letters which was actually 2 bars (separated by the center camera). A mounting plate with the letters you want would work, but I canāt remember now if the mounting screw holes were uniform.
Loctite sounds a little permanent. For me the issue is the rotating lock from the mid panel to the rear panel on the passenger side. The actual screw holding the lock in place is super tight. Even the rotating lock is very tight when moving to the locked position. It just seems to bump itās...
I use the McGard wheel locks on all 5. It may be impractical for someone to try and steal the wheels, but itās more of a peace of mind issue. (McGard 24537 Cone Seat Wheel Locks Chrome (M12 x 1.5 Thread Size) - Set of 5, 5 Locks / 1 Key)
Use the Lange Originals hardtop cart.
Use the Lange Originals Hardtop cart. Better than storing on the floor since the plastic alignment pins can break or resting on the pins can put weird stresses on the top.
Thatās really nice. Wondering if the Anderson hardtop has the same mysterious unlatching of the passenger side mid panel latch (latch to rear section).
Out of curiosity, does the light on the start/stop button illuminate (even though you did not press it) or is it off, but the vehicle remains running at a stop?
yes of course, but the cord straps hang DOWN. Exactly in the position that the cords hang is where the side airbags would deploy. I donāt know, I ām just guessing.
