I don't know if I'd ever get a new ride if I didn't make a spreadsheet. I guess I just tend to overanalyze / obsess over purchase decisions a bit regardless of what it is that I am buying.
Thanks for your concern Steve. I'll manage just fine though, it does actually fit well within my budget based on putting 50% plus down.
Most of my vehicle regrets over the years though have actually come from spending too little on cars though, and either having a maintenance nightmare or...
Lol. My current daily drive which I am paying down quickly and trading in. Because I regretted buying a cheap econobox instead of saving for something more enjoyable. It's about $13-14k, not $45k - that's the Bronco
That's my goal as well. I try to live well within my means, have fully paid off college loans, put a lot of money into my house, and am well on my way to squaring away retirement. But I'm still young and dumb to an extent and want to enjoy the Bronco while I still have younglings around to enjoy...
Now that you mention it, the white paint on my 1997 F250 was challenged, relative to other Ford truck of the same vintage. You may be onto something! Shame, a white ford bronco would be a nice throwback. (not in my top 3 currently)
I hope you are right, would be great if someone with a newer Race Red vehicle vs. my 2014 could chime in.
I don't see myself going over my Bronco with detail paint and a DA polisher any time soon. Probably an annual wax to keep the paint fresh and an occasional front-yard hose bath is all the...
Edited to add - thanks for pointing out typos and quick formatting, or the irony of going from a Versa to a Bronco, but wants & need and family circumstances do change sometimes - that wasn't really my main point here. Just wondering do you make spreadsheets for comparison purposes & vehicle...
Hello, I wanted to share a personal ownership story of a Race Red vehicle by Ford, admittedly nothing like a Bronco. This was my 2014 Ford Focus, which I bought off the dealer's lot 6 years ago. It is no longer in my possession, by virtue of family vehicle needs changing, but let me give the...
They are actually a very good tire. Good enough that my 2WD truck with a rear lunchbox locker could power through 24" of snow a few years back for a mile straight to get me out of my unplowed neighborhood --- and that was with a 27" tire so I was plowing with the front bumper and dragging the...
Out of state reservation here. Thanks for making this whole thing simple and straightforward. I normally don't mind the dealer negotiations but with this being seen as a "lifestyle" vehicle I'm sure all my dealers in the Midatlantic are going to have crazy asking prices, just like they did when...
Black Diamond, because it gets me a rear locker and the wash-out interior, and I can't have Sasquatch with the 7MT for some reason. Ford pissed away $5k with that decision.
So, in my mind I was going to wait until late 2021 assuming all reservations were filled, then buy one off the lot. But seeing this news, I went ahead and placed a reservation Saturday. I hope to have one by the end of '21, but if not, I guess that gives me a few months to save a larger downpayment.
Reserved a 4-door Black Diamond. Hoping to get 7MT, Mid Package, and a hard top. 7MT is required, the other two will be determined based on pricing once the configurator goes live.
