    Yeah, me neither till it showed up. 4runner I've got is a removable hardtop and I've had verts in the past, Fiat, MG, VW, but all of those just folded down. I didn't have to disassemble stuff and worry about storing it.

    No. You don't need lockers for most offroading. I've been running around ranches and mountain fire roads for 30 years without lockers. If you know your vehicle, and what to stay out of based on your skills and its capabilities you can go more places in 2wd and low tire pressure than most 4x4...
