Yeah, it's aluminum... So much for magnets! And even with aluminum panels, it's still 5k pounds! The aluminum has better material memory, so it might reduce the chances of denting as easily as steel does.

I actually got the factory PPF. Is it worth it? Not sure yet, but at least the front and front corners are covered.

  11. Bronco cold weather performance questions - Alaska

My MIC Top is popping from the front driver's panel since it got a little cold (only high 20's to mid 30's so far). Tomorrow I'm going to loosen that panel and re-fasten to see if it stops. It's not drastic... yet, so I'm not sure how this will turn out.

We go to Stratton as well. They offer deals if to book early enough...
  13. NJ/NY/Delaware/Eastern Pa./MD/Ct Volume Buyers?

Yeah, I wasn't going to use anything but the touchless. I've almost never used a brush style wash. With everything going on with the MIC I don't even want to look at it funny for fear that something might happen! Maybe l'll use the manual spray one so that I can keep the pressure light on the...
  14. NJ/NY/Delaware/Eastern Pa./MD/Ct Volume Buyers?

Do you have the hardie of the softie? I'm wondering if I can go through the touchless wash at all with the MIC, or for that matter, how to wash it in general, etc. I'm nervous about the MIC still.
  15. NJ/NY/Delaware/Eastern Pa./MD/Ct Volume Buyers?

I'm wondering if that person closed it on something, etc. Or if it was the right side (looks like it's the left though), you need to be careful to ensure the tailgate is opened at least 90° or so otherwise the gloss will hit it on the way closed. If it's the other side (left), who knows...
  16. NJ/NY/Delaware/Eastern Pa./MD/Ct Volume Buyers?

PowPow, I vote for the $60 kit. Either way (knowing you the way I think you are... kind of like me) you'll think about it either way anyway. I know someone that has a few of these things, on a Porsche no less, but you really don't see them unless you're really getting close to it. Also, if...

  18. NJ/NY/Delaware/Eastern Pa./MD/Ct Volume Buyers?

Wow, the conversations that occur while I'm at work, haha. I might be down for this trip in the 18th but need to check some things out first. I'm with AngryAgain with being nervous. I've only had it for a little over a week for crying out loud! I'm not sure I want to get it banged up just yet...
  19. NJ/NY/Delaware/Eastern Pa./MD/Ct Volume Buyers?

I agree... I use 303 Aerospace Protectant on the interior. It protects against UV degradation and doesn't leave a residue. The other thing I like about it is that the surface finish looks like it did from the factory, not shiny or greasy.
  20. Bad news about MIC 2.0 quality after a few days

Yeah, me too. I started hearing the creaking last night since the temperature has dropped. The thermal expansion between various pieces is undergoing the "stick/slip" phenomenon. I hope it doesn't get too bad! We'll see what happens when it's 15° with the heaters starting up, etc.
