Thanks! Your carbonized gray base with 265/75r16 was where I started this journey!
Trying to post photos/updates on my build here, if you want more contentā¦

285s are definitely the more popular choice around here for the base steelies. But Iād suggest you consider 255/85r16. Theyāre within spec for the width of the steelies, and they look more classic/timeless IMO. Plus, theyāre a tiny bit taller (actually 33ā) than the 285s.
Misbuild claim pending for plastic front skid installed instead of the steel skid that comes with the HD modular bumper.
Also, had new tires installed day of pick up. Dealer scratched through the paint on every frickenā wheel (a death sentence for steelies in the snowy/salty Great Lakes). Itās...
RB20 slim lines installed a couple days ago. Look good, feel solid. The slim lines seem to be nicely proportioned for the non-sas flares/tire poke on my base. There is enough room for me to put my foot on an angle stepping in. If you have large feet, or are not steady on them, Iād suggest...

I run a set of E-rated 255/85r16 Falken Wildpeak M/Ts at 32 PSI on my 2 door base. I had them installed upon delivery by the dealer, so no comparison to the factory tires.
I think the Bronco drives and rides nice. Itās a 4x4 truck, so heaving concrete/pavement seams or potholes are felt in the...
Just like my favorite pair of shoes (one is a cowboy boot and the other one is an adidas slide). I find that if I leave the slide in my closet, nobody knows the pair is mismatched.
Amen. Iāve never seen something so simple get so overcomplicated. And thatās really saying something on this forum, where so many have nothing to do but churn while they wait for their truck.
Why wouldnāt you take the spare off, jack the first corner, remove that tire (and cap), replace with the spare (and cap you just took off, then move along? So, all center caps stay where they are as you move wheels and tires around the vehicle one at a time.
Iām probably not saying anything novel here, but consider this a ā+1ā for the rational side of this conversationā¦
Unless you just canāt afford the up-front cost of $250ish for a fifth tire, there is no rationale for skipping it. With a set of five, 20% more cost upfront = 20% more life out of...
Falken Wildpeak MT01 255/85r16. Tallest and skinniest you can go on the 16ā steelies, as far as I know.
had that info in my originalpost but deleted a bunch out because it was basically a novelā¦š
Hard for me to compare the M/Ts with the stock tires because I only test drove it with the stock tires. The M/Ts make the ride a little choppier Iād imagine. But it feels like a truck to me. Which makes sense. It doesnāt feel sluggish but Iām sure itās a little quicker and more efficient with...
I think youāre getting minimal response because 37s are pretty large for that setup. I donāt recall seeing any threads/posts/builds configured like that.
