  1. VIN?

You won't have a VIN until your order is scheduled for production. It's highly likely you haven't yet been scheduled with an order only 5 weeks ago. You should get an email from Ford with your VIN when you are scheduled.
  2. Question re: Reservations vs. Orders

That means an order has been placed but isn’t to be built - it’s basically holding it, most of the time because the order holder wants to wait for a future model year/particular option that isn’t yet available.
  3. Question re: Reservations vs. Orders

Most everyone who had a reservation placed an order. The reason you see reservation dates referenced is because those, not order date, are what designate the ā€place in lineā€ relative to other orders. Of course, allocations, parts constraints, etc all play a bigger role than just reservation date.
  4. Lightweight Overlanding Camper/trailers ideal for BRONCO

Would love to know more about your setup inside the trailer - do you have electrical? The Woolly Bear seems like a great value.
  5. MIC 2.0 water leak from touchless car wash

I’m a car wash guy. I take my vehicles through fairly often. I’ve had Wranglers, and now own both a Gladiator and a Bronco. Every once in a while I get a squirter like this. It’s a reality of car washes and removable tops - if you go through enough car washes you’ll eventually find one that...
  6. Wireless charging pad overheating my phone

The factory charger is garbage. Really all there is to it. No solutions to keep using the factory setup. I was excited about the feature and quickly moved on.
  7. First Off-roading in the Badlands in Southern Utah

    What's up with your 4a?
  8. Did the new Ford Bronco "RUIN IT" for othersšŸ˜Ž

It is super comfortable to drive. I noticed it right away coming from a Wrangler and a Gladiator. But when did I most notice it? When I drove my wife's Gladiator again on a road trip the other day. Holy smokes - it felt tiny, cramped, uncomfortable, and the steering - eesh. We even have a...
  9. Has anyone seen this? Frozen windows

Do you mean locking the door by touching the handle? If you have proximity unlock, you also have lock. You press the little spot that has a key lock on it on the outside of the door handle. It's a bit finicky on mine - I have to press it well and more than just a quick tap. Remote start - are...
  10. Intro and request for a little "help"

Find a dealer to order a soft top at MSRP, then pick up an aftermarket hard top in the next couple of months for $4-6k. You get what you want, you get it in the next two months, and you save $10k. Win, win, win!
  11. Cause for significant drop in mileage in 2.7 L?

Driving 80 mph, small differences in wind make a HUGE difference in mileage. I got 13 a day or two in west Texas recently. I also got 18. All based on wind direction. These things are bricks and super sensitive mileage-wise above 75mph.
  12. Found a Spare Part—Help! Where Does it Go?

Obviously unrelated to the thread, but, I wouldn’t recommend going without mats even with the washout floors - over time the floor will show significant wear and tear, and is going to be a lot harder to fix than getting new floor mats. To each their own - just something to factor into your...
  13. Bronco Low beams issue

This was the answer I was going to give - the marginal rating happens to any headlight, regardless of how good it is, if it doesn’t have the adaptive technology. Anymore, about the only vehicles that get a ā€œgoodā€ rating on headlights are in luxury automobiles with curve adapting headlights.
  14. Wireless Android Auto Disconnecting

I had it happen a couple of times on our recent long road trip. It is fine if connected by wire, but wireless would just disconnect and I couldn’t reconnect until the Bronco had been turned off and restarted. It only happened when I’d been using it for quite a while - I haven’t had any issues...
  15. Cracked Windshield

Gorilla Glass is not like Kleenex. There's only Gorilla Glass and it's only available from Corning.
  16. Cracked Windshield

I have yet to see an option that’s better than getting windshield coverage as part of your auto insurance. I know state laws may impact it, and individual coverages vary, but I have a zero deductible windshield repair that covers rock chip repair all the way through full replacement.
  17. Disable "Keep Your Hands on the Steering Wheel" warning alert?

I have found it takes next to no input to turn it off. A very slight movement of the wheel is enough. I don’t have to ā€œjerkā€ it one way or the other. It’s a small price to pay to have an otherwise incredible experience.
  18. How's the Bronco windshield holding up against rocks?

Got my first rock chip yesterday at about 4000 miles. About 150 miles from home after a 2600 mile trip, of course!
  19. Getting fed up...

It can be done. Just gotta call Ford.
