  1. 🛠 10/18/21 Build Week Group

Similar, but by rail. Been in transit since 11/5, ETA was 11/22-28. Still nothing - I was able to track the rail car and know it was unloaded on 11/20, which means it's likely just sitting in the railyard 120 miles from me. My salesman has less info than I do at this point.
  2. Scheduling 1500 Mile Oil Change Today, Dealer Said Let It Ride Til 7500 Miles

If Ford thought there was any concern at all for longetivity of its engine it would recommend the first oil change early. They don't. Do it if you want, but in modern engines with modern oils, the research seems to indicate it's unnecessary.
  3. Dealer wants 15k over sticker now that my bronco arrived

Absolutely no guarantee it'll help at all - but it's worth a shot. This seems like the kind of situation he's actually taken on in the past. You have a signed purchase agreement - which is exactly what Ford has encouraged.
  4. Dealer wants 15k over sticker now that my bronco arrived

I'd tweet the hell out of Mike Levine on this one. You had a SIGNED PO and on top of that FoMoCo promised price protection. This is the epitome of slimy, awful business practice that deserves to be called out. Just awful.
  5. 📝 UPDATE Dec 12th: My Letter to the Ford Executive Team: Submitted Customer Feedback Proposal and Response

This is an excellent post. Also appreciate Cat's approach to this, which was to write a succinct, thorough, and rational/professional communication to people who can do something about it. Yelling into the abyss (which is what venting on a forum is) won't change things. Sometimes it's cathartic...
  6. 2.7 Underboost condition ..please check the Charge Air Cooler Hose connection

What's your normal driving like? If you do a decent amount of 70+mph driving you're going to likely be below average.
  7. Missouri Broncos by convoy

Mine has been unloaded at the railyard in Kansas City for 10 days now. Sigh...that last 120 miles is a real pain.
  8. Build time from beginning to end - "in general"?

Once build day comes it's about a 24 hour-ish process. As long as you don't hit a Friday blend date, you should be done the next day (or so).
  9. Didn't need Mid package so I'm without Navigation . . . anyway to retrofit install / software update for it?

CarPlay or Android Auto are both far superior products to built-in systems, IMO. The ease of use is awesome, and they've been refined enough to work reliably. Wireless connection is the newest and least proven part of them now - but appears to be fairly reliable.
  10. Road & Track Review: The Ford Bronco Made Me Understand the Wrangler

That's pretty much exactly what the reviewer said. The better road manners are what takes the Bronco to an entirely different level. I loved his quote that it removes the limitations the Wrangler makes many feel (myself included). I think it makes him perfect. A guy who "didn't get" the love of...
  11. Ordering advice, to Squatch or not to Squatch?

Just for clarity, as I don't think anyone posted it, but this is incorrect. The SAS suspension - even a Badlands SAS - has slightly less wheel travel than the standard Badlands. It's simply a feature to limit the up-travel with the 35s. It's a small amount.
  12. e-Bronco - Thoughts?

I think anyone saying ICE, PHEV, or BEV are right or wrong for everyone is, well, wrong. There are consumers who have the perfect use case for PHEV. (I actually believe I'm one of them.) There are many for whom - like you've noted - are bad use cases. I drive 5-20 miles per day on a normal...
  13. Does everyone get an assembly line picture?

Mine came 2-3 weeks after build. Still waiting for delivery, but it was a nice proof of life. 😉
  14. The official, my dealer is a tool and won't tell me my rail car number.

I'm sure this is in the 70 pages here and I've missed it, but once delivered to the rail yard close to our destination, is there any way to track it after that? Or just wait for it to show up?
  15. Anyone have a wiring diagram for B&O sound system?

All makes sense - I would have guessed the doors sealed better, but nothing seals well when you find yourself stuck in the muck.
  16. Dealer has 300 Bronco's on order

There are definitely still deadly sins. Just because you got a vehicle with them doesn't mean they aren't still impacting builds. It's what a lot of people don't understand about constraints in general - it doesn't mean there aren't any of them, just that there aren't enough of them. And for...
  17. Bronc Buster AKA “broken Bronco” running 40’s on 2” lift

This is why I like America. We can all have opinions. Even if they're wrong, like yours. ;) In seriousness, these things you identify as bad (flat/straight/square lines, "wide" hood, etc) are exactly what I love about the Bronco and dislike about my current JT and past JL and JKs. I agree...
  18. Auto Stop / Start stopped working

The challenge is that as a society we've been trying to regulate drunk driving out of life for a long, long time and continue to fail. Personal responsibility isn't working there. I'm no fan of government mandates in general, but if technology exists to prevent an impaired person from getting...
  19. Bronco (2.7 engine) shut off on highway, left me on the side of the road

This is encouraging. While it sucks to have this issue, great customer service on the back end like this can sure make it sting a lot less. There is some good research out there that supports the idea that companies can build loyalty during these situations if they're great at taking care of...
