  1. Likely demographics for Base Base?

Just a 9-5 worker here with a family of 4. If Ford lets me have rear lockers on the base, that's what I'll go with. The rig will mainly be for family camping trips, so I don't need any of the more advanced stuff. And also because of that, the better on-road manners makes it much more appealing...
  2. Gear and Equipment On-Sale Thread

I agree to some extent. Many of the cheap $5-10 hand tools are really bad quality/material. But the 12000lb Badland Apex winch is highly reviewed, and has been put through some torture test without issues. nearly hanging a v8 4Runner with a Badland Apex

you can actually cancel from your account at ford.com, will get your refund in a week or 2 like others have said.
  5. ABCs of Off-roading - Ford Bronco: Articulation, Breakover Angle, Crawl Ratio

How about a 2" receiver on the front AND rear bumper, with a hitch mounted winch, so you can move it around as needed. Have an electrical hookup next to the receiver, much like a hitch wiring. These should be able to handle the draw of a winch, no...
  6. Looks like the 2.7 is now a $300 bump on Sasquatch Badlands with 10 speed?

I disagree with how the word "consistent" is used in this sense, but you are not wrong in the literal meaning of the word. I was expecting consistent pricing for a certain product (and when you are forced to select another product to go with it, the cost of both are added, sometimes with a small...
  7. Looks like the 2.7 is now a $300 bump on Sasquatch Badlands with 10 speed?

It's not consistent across trims.... On a base 4 door, which comes with the 10AT already, it's $1895 to add the 2.7 v6. But on a BB 4 door, which comes with the 7MT, the same $1895 gets you the 2.7 v6 and 10AT. Yet if you just want the 10AT, it's a $1595 upgrade. Very frustrating.....
  8. tons of new stuff from moab expo on bronco nation instagram

I disagree. That would likely be worded "overhead" lamps. Anyways, here's a picture of the standard headlights on, and one with signature lighting on. If you look at the background yellow lines for reference, the standard headlight image actually seems to be more yellow. With some mental...
  9. tons of new stuff from moab expo on bronco nation instagram

Headlights are all LED, but signature headlight have a different design. Standard tail lights are incandescent. I believe I read in one of the QA threads that the signature headlight also comes with the LED tails (package deal). Peter
  10. So Cal Part Swaps

line-x the MIC roof sounds like a great idea!! probably adds some sound deadening effect as well. 2 birds with 1 stone.
  11. Harlequin edition???

I think area 51, cyber orange, race red, and antimatter blue can probably make a pretty good match. I am eyeing an A51. Anyone with the other 3 colors want to swap body panels? PS: in case people are confused, Harlequin was a funky color scheme VW did in the mid 90's. 4 base colors with swapped...
  12. Harlequin edition???

As a VW owner, I am not opposed to the idea of a Harlequin build. But probably not THAT many colors. Peter
  13. OVERESTIMATION

Yah, I am planning to use the vehicle for family camping trips, sight seeing in some less traveled areas, and maybe one day as an overlander. I don't foresee myself ever rock crawling, or driving to areas where there is no "road". Selectable 4wd is most likely fine, and the rear locker is the...
  14. XPlan same as Friends/Family Discount?

D plan is for "D"ealer employees A plan is for Ford employees Z plan is for Ford retirees X plan is for affiliates (companies that does business with Ford, list available if you google it, members of certain clubs such as Mustang Club of America, and Ford stock holders) Not to sure how...
  15. OVERESTIMATION

Also, this forum represent a very small percentage of future Bronco owners. I can certainly see many forum member using more of the Bronco's capability than the average buyer. It is also always better to have and not need, than to need and not have. Having said all that, I'm poor and stingy...
  16. So I may owe Ford an apology on winch pricing

I recall reading somewhere that the DIOs will ship separately, and will be installed by the dealers with credits from Ford.
  17. Big Bend Redemption?

one of the major reasons i'm leaning toward BB is the manual transmission. Base 4 door comes with a 10 speed for some reason. I mean, the 10 speed technically costs more, which makes the base a better bargain. But the manual have better "value" to me. And the availability of additional colors is...
  18. The Wait is Real

Very surprising for a company like Ford, and a scheduled launch like this, they are not doing auto-scaling groups or equivalent, to handle the load.
  19. Ford Options to AVOID?

Here's what I think is worth it for me on a Big Bend trim 1. MIC Hard top - absolute must from factory, not going to deal with aftermarket and leaks or wind noises, especially with the frameless doors, the fit from the top of the window to the top is going to be tricky 2. Auxiliary switches -...
  20. Filson Bronco Teasers (UPDATED With Full Vehicle Preview!)

agreed!! I want that rack!!! (assuming the back mounting points still allow the top to stay on) I know this may be too plain for some of you, but I WANT THIS!
