I kept my front windows legal @ 35 and did do my front windshield at the tint shops recommended but he made it lite enough that you cant even tell the windshield is tinted but helps a lot to keep the car cool. I guess if the LEO is having a bad day he might ticket you for it.

Just like the Wrangler, the angle of the windshield is way more vertical then a typical car. Probably will always have chip issues.
