thinking of doing something similar but with the ez4x4 hardtop lift. Use straps hung from the two cross members. One purchase to handle softtop now and later when i get a hard top.

I have a '24 with soft top. I drive around a lot with the top flipped back, windows in. Easy to open/close. When flipped back it missed the top of the garage door by 1/2". I prefer to drive with windows out and top fully back. That blocks the rear view mirror. Side mirrors work pretty...
