It may be because when I had the stubby shorter antenna it broke and I was lucky to get it out and put back the original. Now it looks like that can’t happen.

All sounds logical but I agree with UncleBrad. Deer running across our roads at night happen often regardless of my speed. I was wondering last night why my high beams weren’t coming on and I was driving under 30mph.
