  1. 4,500 lbs. towing with the Bronco Raptor hitch?

Does anyone know if the Raptor hitch receiver and bracing would fit on a Badlands? I tow an off-road trailer with my 2nd gen Tacoma. The trailer is 1,543 lbs. dry and has a max loaded weight of 3,306 lbs. My Tacoma that is rated to tow 6,500 lbs. In my experience I couldn't imagine towing 6,500...

I have not got an email or a VIN but the Ford site added a build date today.
  3. My solution for a winch bumper

Nice work! If you were willing to cut into the grill and the cross brace behind where you placed the winch, how much further back do you think the winch could be mounted? I was wondering if that would help the approach angle and the camera view blockage.
  4. K&N Cold Air Intake/Turbo Noise

I would need to see pictures. Any nut, bolt or other fastener can and do come loose will, maybe not for an individual customer but if you sell 500K units its highly likely to happen. When that fastener comes loose will the air filer catch it? If it is down steam of the filter it will get sucked...
  5. K&N Cold Air Intake/Turbo Noise

I started my career working in automotive aftermarket and designed several CAI. On of the advantages aftermarket has is generally customers want to hear their motor more than the general public. The OEM intake has to focus on damping the intake noise where as aftermarket does not often allowing...

  7. Thoughts going from Tacoma to Bronco

I am coming from an 06 manual Tacoma and am waiting for my auto badlands sasquatch 2.7. They had a driving event near me where I drove the manual, it was only 15 min but I really did not like it. The computer gives the engine throttle when you release the clutch and my brain could not adjust to...
  8. Gullwing and molle panels for hardtop window [Velox Offroad]

@Fish512_ Can you add pics from the inside? Any plans for a deeper locker? Seams useful to maximize the cargo space and use the area on the sides. I'm thinking recovery gear and air up/down type stuff. With the top off a way to keep everything inside would be needed so I see why you went molle...

Agreed, that is where I would want to go with it. Piggyback a a cable with the hardtop wiring connection.

@Arrmjr Possible but a long day, speeds typically range from 1-3 mph average for rock crawling and up to 10 mph for more overland routes like this. Our average moving speed was 10 mph on this route. Adding stops to eat, trees or rocks in the road etc. I would figure on 14 or so hours to do it all.

I have done 50% to 75% of it in stages. You can definitely do it with a Bronco, every year there is different closures and washouts that change it. Most of its is on the dirt fire road difficulty as opposed to off roading.

@nd2002 I work in product development in consumer electronics, I don't know why they did this but I could tell many tales of products that were seriously compromised to hit a price point, AKA $199.99 vs $205. In my experience it is a combination of companies making poor decisions to hit a...
