  2. Roll cage?

Excuse me, I just checked a new brochure on line to make sure and it's called a "sport bar" NOT a "roll bar" Mike; just look up a pdf for the new JL and you'll see it.
  3. Electronics; how much is too much?

Had my 72 (not stock) Bronco topped out at 117 mph. It didn't feel sketchy, but what did I know at 20 years old.
  4. Roll cage?

Jeep doesn't have "roll bars". If you read the fine print; they are called "show bars". Like most things; if you want it done right you have to do it yourself. Google up pics of rolled factory Jeeps and you'll see the windshield collapses right into the driver and passenger section. Why would...
  5. Bronco will have Yakima accessories available at launch

BINGO! Substitute the word "unibody" with the word "electronics"... ......and the point I was trying to get across to the Richard Craniums on this fan boy Ford can do no wrong Forum becomes crystal clear.
  6. Bronco will have Yakima accessories available at launch

Because of past experience you couldn't give me a unibody off roader. Much less pay $48,000 for one. Much much less one not proven. I'm not closed minded; if Defender could prove it won't bend (which is what they should do for marketing) then and only then would I consider even considering.
  7. Bronco will have Yakima accessories available at launch

Heard of an XJ? I used to own a ice blue 1998 XJ 4 door manual. Pretty much the holy grail of XJ's Great little rig for fire roads, but not to wheel unless you add a frame stiffener kit. A full cage roll bar stiffens them up a bit. Otherwise they bend. Windshield can pop out, doors and hatch...
  8. Bronco will have Yakima accessories available at launch

Unibody base price $49,000. I suppose they've done their market research and determined there are a lot of people who just want the look of a tough off roader. Let's hope Ford doesn't buy into the same marketing strategy.
  9. 2021 Bronco SPECS??? - Anything Confirmed?

Every auto I've owned lugged down in mountain driving. Maybe they are out there but I've never seen one.
  10. What Color Do You Want to See the Bronco Offered In?

This Color! Canvas Top, No Carpet
  11. Electronics; how much is too much?

    It works ~ Thank you!
  12. 2021 Bronco SPECS??? - Anything Confirmed?

Thank you. I just saw the TFC Car&Driver reviews; yes looks like a 2.3 eco boost. Never driven one so I can't comment. 7 sp Manual - that's a lot of shifting going on, unless there is a granny low to skip and a high overdrive. As for the rest, guess I gotta wait, but I am going to go look at a...
  13. 2021 Bronco SPECS??? - Anything Confirmed?

When I hear "Hybrid" I think internal combustion engine + generator + electric motor + batteries. Technically if it's a straight up internal combustion engine it's not a "Hybrid"
  14. Electronics; how much is too much?

@OX1 Now I understand your screen name! Thanks for the pics, looks good, interesting rear track bar.
  15. Electronics; how much is too much?

Sorry, should of been more specific; his was in a 35 rear end - so yeah. Good to hear about the 5:13's holding up - I have been kinda skeptical about those. My TJ's have the low pinion 30 - so I'm kinda stuck. Been thinking about swapping one out. A XJ hp would be super easy, but not really...
  16. Electronics; how much is too much?

Yes, I stand corrected; my 72 it is a 2.46 they changed to 2.34 in 73. I didn't "iirc", been 10 years since I last wrenched on it. The 271 was just an example; I don't know what's going on in the Ford world anymore. After my last Ford Diesel I lost my brand loyalty and never looked back. I do...
  17. Electronics; how much is too much?

Did you find them new or used? $$? Extensive Fabbing required? (Your talking TJ right?)
  18. 2021 Bronco SPECS??? - Anything Confirmed?

Wow! I had no idea there was this little...virtually zero information. I made a lot of mental assumptions based on what Ford did with the 5th gen Mustang. Admittedly that was 15 years ago and a lot has changed in the auto industry. If Ford is going to build a "hybrid" it seems to indicate...
  19. Electronics; how much is too much?

The 36's and the 4.56's might cancel each other out (we would be at about the same drive ratio as with 33's). You bring up a good point; a lot of guys don't like going lower than 4.56's because of the small pinion gear. Which brings us to the question of differentials offered and available...
  20. 2021 Bronco SPECS??? - Anything Confirmed?

New BroncoBronco Experts; (me say'n): "We don't need no stink'n pics", I want SPEC's - anyone have any? Please Fill in the Blank - ONLY if is "Confirmed" for a Rubicon Competitor. Engine: _______________________ Auto Transmission:______________ Man Transmission:______________ Transfer...
