Has anyone with an actual order been successful in being able to switch their order to another dealer? I know reservations are easy enough to switch, but I'm talking an actual order in a dealer's queue. I've not heard of this yet, but I get asked all the time if it's possible(since I'm a dealer)...

I think pricing will stay high, especially given the fact there's tons of people who don't even have reservations that want one. We aren't going to see nearly as many 2021's as projected which will keep pricing high at least until next summer if I had to guess.

FWIW, I'm a dealer and I've bought four Broncos over and above the two mannequins I have. I bought one from Mecum, one from another dealer, and two from individuals. Yes that is the order but at each individual dealer. There could easily be a dealer with plenty of buildable units in their system but they are out of allocation and the next dealer that has much more allocation but not buildable units will receive stock units before the dealer that ran out can...

Wanna bet? There are going to be stock units for 2021 very soon. There's not enough soft top orders in a lot of dealers order bank and Ford will fulfill the allocation promised to the dealer. 2022 allocation is not going to follow the 2021 formula. Allocation for 2022 is going to be one of the biggest factors when someone sees their Bronco.

I personally would only buy a Ford ESP contract.

No. The First Edition has been made for weeks. No idea why they've been holding it.

We have a First Edition and a Wildtrak, both produced, both just sitting at MAP. The FE has been built for weeks and supposed to be released this week. My other mannequin isn't due to be built until next week. They're holding them a long time, I assume for quality control.

Flip described it correctly. If you don't fill up what you're allocated, they will be sucked up by other dealers with stock orders. That's why I stated earlier that no dealer is going to let them go to waste. I don't see that happening.

That shoe is already half off.....it won't be 50%....it'll be gone.

I get that side of the story too. As a dealership, do you just sit idle and not put any stock orders in and let your allocation go to waste? Or do you just do nothing and hope your customers get pulled and you come out good in the long run? I can tell you what every dealer is going to do.

Yep, I agree. But they will do whatever they need to do to put the plant at capacity. Always have, always will. I don't have the words to express how I feel about the entire thing.....not just this, but the entire process.
