It's a Parking Brake, as there isn't IMHO an Emergency Brake on the Bronco. Use it whenever you've parked your Bronco.

The "Best Way" was something Ford chose not to do...... If they would had just used a SIMPLE Hand Emergency/Park Brake this would have been a Non-Issue. It's also one of the FEW Things the Ford Didn't Copy from Jeep. SMH.... Not bashing you @CalvinT , just Ford. Thanks for the information...

It "appears" that some are forgetting that we are discussing this in regards to Manual Transmissions. Because I can understand their responses if this was being discussed in regards to an Automatic Transmission. Come on @fomoco, give the MT Bronco a True Manual Hand Brake....

Just so you know, Boomer here and have done 90% of all of my vehicle repairs. Yes, that is a Park Brake and passenger vehicles do/did come with such an item. They (Emergency Brake) used to be a Total Mechanical System used when there was a failure of the Hydraulic System. So... now... what...

It's basically the same engine with DI & PI and FoMoCo is already using it in the Mustang. So.... basically..... it's just the using up of the current DI only engine and not anything major. In other words..... it's kinda a no brainer...
