Depends on the type of plastic. For example, polycarbonates are very strong. I doubt that those hood anchors will be made out of recycled Chinese take-out containers.

Most kayak/canoe tie down ropes are also made of "plastic" (polypropylene). I wouldn't worry about the structural integrity.

The Bronco's tow ratings will likely be higher than those of the Wrangler. 2-door 4-door Wrangler 2,000 lbs 3,500 lbs Bronco 3,000 lbs ? 5,000 lbs ?

$16.5k in 2002 vs $30k in 2020... That's an increase of 3.4% per year. Not too bad. Plus the 2020 version is so much nicer.
