  1. NEW EZ4x4 GIVEAWAY – Win a Free Set of Aluminum Tube Doors ($1,000+ Value)

A nice alternative to the OEM offering. Optional doors are not in my budget but if they were... :)
  2. I too, need help naming my eruption green bronco!

Green? There's always the obvious... Booger. How about Oliver, as in the Green Arrow from the comics?
  3. Rust, corrosion in the "Salt Belt"

Salt and the elements can't really be beaten. Even undercoating can go wrong 10 different ways. The only thing you can hope for is mild winters and rigorous maintenance.
  4. Took the plunge and bought out my Bronco at end of lease

I hope to buy mine from lease at the end of this year but I'm certain the dealer won't make it easy. They've been bugging me to turn it in since last year. Plus, I'm not sure I can afford to buy it (even after 3 years).
  5. Roof top cargo straps recommendations?

I use a Rhino strap for extra security on my top box.
  6. A new download feature for the 2023

Complain all you want, Land/Range Tata Motors (the Indian company that actually owns Jaguar/Land Rover) quality is among the worst in the world (verified vis Consumers Reports).
  7. Lincoln Should Use Ford’s Bronco Platform to Go After Lexus and Land Rover

Interesting thought, however, it'll never fly. People buy Land/Range Rover for prestige/name value (they sure don't buy them for reliability and capability only matters when people actually go somewhere other than the mall). A domestic brand will never sell to the truly snotty.
  8. A new download feature for the 2023

Should have said, "stayed out of the dealership for more than 6 months at a time." Land/Range Rovers have almost the worst quality and reliability record.
  9. If I end up dead!! How to fix fender flare scratches?

You make a good point. It's difficult to determine just where this damage is located. Is it flare, fender or what? How about a pic zoomed out a bit to show exactly at what we are looking?
  10. If I end up dead!! How to fix fender flare scratches?

Your cheapest option (not counting the bonehead on here that suggested theft) would be to replace the flare. My advice is come up with a wicked story about you, the truck and a knife fight. Seriously, unless the flare is cracked it's not worth replacing. If you do, just keep an eye out for...
  11. Convince me to buy a Bronco

If you have to be convinced, maybe you should buy a Honda.
  12. Rusting at various points

Some of the items you mention are aftermarket parts. It is rare that any aftermarket parts will ever survive any significant exposure (one or two seasons at most, especially in the rust belt). The fact is that most aftermarket companies never test their products to the extent of the OEMs, nor do...
  13. Challenge: Where am I?

You mean there's a place other than Michigan?
  14. Bronco Super celebration TN. Heads up

Sorry to hear but happy things are getting better. I stayed at Little Arrow last year for my Off-Roadeo and truly enjoyed it. Wish I was going to Super-Cel myself (never been but it sure sounds like fun).
  15. First mod.... Front Mesh Grille Inserts

I like the inserts better on those extra large vents, but I think the designer should have allowed them to be mounted from the back of the grille, which I think would be a cleaner look. For my BD (where the vents are much smaller but there are a lot more) I thought the aftermarket options were a...
  16. Tariffs and the Bronco, how American is it? [LOCKED DUE TO POLITICS]

The US wouldn't be in this boat if free trade had been fair trade all these years. All of the jobs went overseas because it became too expensive to manufacture here. In general, I hate politicians and lobbys (that includes union leaders) because it was their greed that got us here. Trump is...
  17. Recommendation for a compact torx+ set

Well, this is good to know. What makes it a PITA is that the fastener design is so similar that most people cannot tell by feel whether they have the correct size of bit. Add to that the lack of general public knowledge of even the existence of torx+ as a standard. If the companies feel the need...
  18. Recommendation for a compact torx+ set

Torx and Torx+ are NOT interchangeable. Why they use 2 types of fasteners that are so similar seems pretty boneheaded but Ford was probably forced into it due to different manufacturers and suppliers.
  19. Flated Rooftop Cargo Box? or Goodyear blimp?

Unfortunately, while our 2-doors look amazing and maneuver just as good, we got no cargo room. A good rack and a box of some kind are our only recourse.
  20. Flated Rooftop Cargo Box? or Goodyear blimp?

That 14mpg sounds about right, and it'll potentially drop lower if you decide to exceed 70mph, and even more in a headwind, going uphill, etc. Bottom line? You'd think a small displacement motor could muster better. But also, no. The turbo helps around town for acceleration but sucks the fuel...
