Not a "wheels" kind of guy, so stock looked good enough for me.
Looking back, should have gone with one of the red colors to symbolize being in the red after this purchase! Haha!
Is this the same size as the previous gen Ranger? Looks a lot bigger to me...about the same as the current Ranger. Maybe it's the 4-door throwing me off. I thought it would be more compact truck size.
I initially was getting a brush guard from the factory, but wasn't a fan of blocking the grill, so I ended up not ordering it. I'll just have to avoid driving through the hedges in the Target parking lot until I do get one.
As someone who has worked in banking for a long time, I'll tell you this. If you are already forking out $45-50k+ for a vehicle, if you can't afford the extra $2500 for the High package that you want, you can't afford the vehicle itself!
1. It forces me to be more minimalistic.
2. It's what the roof rack is for!
It's just me and my son, so the back seat will never get use anyhow. That is where I can store anything that won't fit in the back cargo area.
Honestly, beyond the price, the only reason I think someone would be idiotic to buy this is simply for the fact you are paying to for someone to order you a new Bronco, but the guy has the pleasure to drive it around for up to 500 miles (generously paying $1 per mile over that amount). Laughable.
Unless you can get a steal via private sale, I'd just get a low cost reliable solution like Thed said above. Your margin of loss on reselling a $3000 vehicle will be much smaller than a high dollar, newer vehicle. Equity and cars are two terms that never go together.
Once you reach a certain price point, money obviously isn't the singular driver, so get what you want most. For me, after seeing videos and pictures, the 33's on the Badlands is enough(and looks great IMO), and I spent a couple grand more for the high package instead of Squatch. That 12 inch...
I have a feeling it's just us on here with the high 2-door ratio. I think the general public will be getting 4-doors 3 or 4 to 1 compared to 2-doors. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. I've got to keep that late summer hope alive!
I'll definitely be interested in seeing production stats to see how far off B6G peeps are to everyone else. I've envisioned the Outerbanks 4-door as being the most popular buy for the general public.
Im not a fan of big vehicles and wanted something closer to the original, so 2-door it is...
My son wants that green wrap and those doors so it looks like a Warthog from that Halo video game, haha. I have to admit, I'm really digging it myself!
The general area is desolate. South of you about 45 mins is Lake Gaston. Good place in the summer. North about an hour is Richmond. Hopewell and Petersburg will be about 30 mins or so north, before you get to Richmond. Lots of Civil War history in those areas. Richmond has become known for...
