@Khushroo Malesaria dude I am an IE transplant- if I was still in SoCal, I'd look at Kearny Mesa in SD. Search around B6G and you'll see solid reviews on their customer service and transparency on prices. Good luck buddy.
@North7 Great question- when CalTrans makes you chain up, they inspect your tires to show that you are M+S. Otherwise they make you chain up, even w/ all terrain tires and the like (note: could just be a silly California thing... don't get me started about this state).
On my 4wd '02 Silverado...
Alright, I'll stick my nose in this spirited melee and likely get mocked. It's ok. I have kids.
So my WT will be my DD. Probably 1K miles/ month in commuting. We ski/ snowboard 20 days/ year and I'd love to plow through powder, and yet we have hot, dry summers and a short rainy season here in...
@deanfromkelowna similar sentiments from @Bituman and @Tony Sorrento. I was originally a OBX guy because I somehow can't let go of the 12" display in the high package. But once I added 2.7/ Sas/ mod roof/ high package to a OBX, it came out to be within a few hundred quid between the beasts...
Any of y'all who are pushed to MY22 considering a green? This is what BN had previously posted as potential candidate:
IMHO a mallard green w/ white modular roof Wildtrak would look amazing.
@Natai hi Sean, I was there at the 4pm timeslot. I totally agree w/ everything you said. I was very impressed with the BD in CG with black steelies... that, plus the MGV really made be stop and hesitate about my WT build. It was a sweet machine. Great writeup- I like your writing style and level...
Based on the videos that have emerged lately, looks like 4WP, ARB, and BuiltRight are a few vendors. Not necessarily tuners but vendors that have had a Bronco to mod. Wouldn't doubt that Roush would have a field day too.
@RyanM ya know, I had hated the look of it too in pictures I've seen. In real life, it was much more muted- not an annoyingly bright tone. The contrast between the brown and dark gray leather seats was much more pronounced by comparison. If I was picking an interior for the seats and loved them...
@markregel The way I'd describe it is like this- when I climb in a Rubicon, to me it sort of feels like climbing into a ball turret (if you know your B-17's) with your legs disappearing under the dash that seems all up in your face. The Bronco felt more like a truck, albeit with a short/ shallow...
@ATLUTDFAN duuuuuuude... I NEED MORE COWBELL!!
Excellent post and pics. I'm a CO guy in general but that bright light doesn't make it look as pretty as the pics I've seen it in overcast IMHO. That aside, this is the first time I thought the Rapid Red looked solid. So I feel your pain on the...
@Broncolli good question- it actually was the first thing I noticed when approaching the 2 vehicles. The BD with the 33" tires (I believe) and black steelies looked AMAZING. It had a nice stance and good proportions. Unlike my opinion of the OBX- the larger (and I think kinda uggo) wheels along...
