So do companies that do this to cars for SEMA troll the "real" owners on purpose with how ridiculous they are? This maybe appeals to 3% of people who buy vehicles of said make and model.
Just got my letter for this today. No issues with mine that I noticed so far. I will have to get under and check it myself to see if the boot is good. I'm still taking it in for this though. I'll be calling on Monday in hopes I don't get any issues from my nearest dealer about getting it fixed.

Ford performance certified dealer or any AES certified shop. A regular dealership should be able to install it also, if they are competent enough. Or just skip them and just install it like everyone else has so far.
It will adjust itself. You will lose performance obviously. I wouldn't run 87 though. If you had to, it's suggested to not drive it like you stole it until you can put 91/93 back in.
