OP did you end up getting any resolution to this issue?

2 door manual checking in here. I've had at least one manual vehicle ever since 2006, and I'm not planning to change that any time soon. Kind of interesting: the only other turbocharged 2 door 4 seater convertible 4WD/AWD with a 7-speed manual is....the 911.

Good news: I figured out the problem. The paper instructions are wrong. After watching the Youtube video, I realized what the issue is. If you follow the paper instructions, it has you sandwich the mount between the fender and the felt liner. The problem is that this pushes the mount too far...

I tried installing a set of the front flaps, but I couldn’t get the inner hole to line up to get that plastic push pin in. I’m not sure if it’s the bracket or the flap, but what I did notice is that the cutout for the crash bars isn’t cut deep enough for that hole to line up.
